Evolve or max out

I have two level 35 hariyama, 151514 and 141514 (ATT/DEF/HP) respectively, and 3 above 2700cp machamp. So I need one more to fill the fighting squad. I have another 2 makuhita, 423 cp and 421 cp at level 20 (151513 and 141514), 200 candies and 850K stardust. To optimize the fighting squad performance, should I power the hariyama up more, or evolve another makuhita and power it up so some high level?

I’d say evolve another Makuhita so you have a third Hariyama.
Machamp is of course the fighting type champ, so the more Machamp on your fighting team the better, usually ending with Hariyama for bulk.
I’m also a fan of mixing up teams outside of the normal Pokémon used. For example, if you have a 15 attack Breloom you could lead with that for higher DPS as it has a higher attack stat than Machamp. I’m also partial to Blaziken. I use a Blaziken on my Tyranitar raid team because it resists Dark, Steel, and Fire, so it makes Iron Tail, Bite, Crunch, and Fire Blast hit for less. Fire Blast is usually the hardest variant so resisting it is nice. Blaziken also resists Fairy, making gym clearing even easier.

Thanks for the suggestion! I have a IV 91 Breloom with 15 ATT, but it's only level 12 which needs lots of stardust to power up. I do have a level 35 Blaziken (101513) with Fire Spin and Focus Blast. Do you think this Blaziken could be a good filler to the squad, or should I invest some stardust for the Breloom?

If you have a TM to swap Fire Spin with Counter then absolutely. Against Tyranitar, Blaziken in neutral weather is only recommended at level 40 according to the guide here. Going to level 40 will still hurt (88k dust, 118 candy) but it's much less dust compared to bringing your Breloom to level 30, much less 40.

Even without powering up Blaziken should make a good, albeit frail, stand in until you get another Machamp/Hariyama to replace it.

Speaking of getting another Machamp/Hariyama, besides the 2 makuhita I mentioned before, I also have a few candidate machop. I have two level 15 machop, 151215 and 141415, one level 18 IV 91, 151115, and one level 28 or so, IV 87 141411. Not sure which to invest. BTW, I have 450 machop candies right now.

Yeah, that fireblast tyrantiar is a machamp killer, one shot my perfect machamp, level 35 I believe, could you imagine if raid bosses attack stats weren't decreased?

I wish they gave blaziken a better fighting charge move, if it wasnt stuck with focus blast, it actually could be e better fighting type

I wish they could but the current moveset pool seems reasonable for Blaziken, as a Fire/Fighting double type pokemon and the fact it's a bird to have Brave Bird. But some day with torchic CD it will get a exclusive move, with no idea now what it could be (maybe Blast Burn like Charizard but who knows it won't be a fighting move). Right now with 3 Blaziken evolved for myself, I'm pooling up good torchic and just wait.

Chikorita CD will be a major precedent, but it'd be pretty weird for them to not give the starter CD moves to all the starters. The entire point of Blast Burn, Frenzy Plant and Hydro Cannon in the main games is that only starters can learn them. I'd put money on Blaziken getting Blast Burn next year and becoming an amazing Fire-type glass cannon as a result.

Why is your perfect Machamp below the breakpoint for Tyranitar and maxed Blissey? Get it to level 36.5 ASAP.

I'm not sure if "decreased" is the term I'd use for raid boss stats, each tier has their own CPM that determines the stats. That's no different from any pokemon in the game, it's all modified by CPM.

Blaziken is much glassier than Machamp, with C/DP it'd be like Breloom, a bit bulkier. Machamp would probably still be better. Blaziken's time to shine will come when it learns Blast Burn and when/if it does, it'll be great.
