IV re-rolls
Is it just me or are the IV re-rolls when trading playing havoc on their OCD?
For instance my end goal is to collect 100%er's of everything or near to it. So trading trash can potentially re-roll to a 90-100%er I'm now starting to wonder if it's even worth binning anything from my bag? Which then in turn means I run out of bag space!! Arggh...

Meh.
Trading is merely a way to exchange Stardust for Candies. Everything else is just a happy bonus - when you catch a crappy Pokémon of a type you want candies for, keep it, then spend the 100 Stardust (75 for the next 6 days) to get the 4 candies (6 for the next 6 days). And hey, maybe you'll get a Lucky Pokémon out of the mix.
Maybe this will change when I'm Best Friends with people, but I'm Ultra Friends and so far? Every Pokémon I've traded for has dropped to below 50% IV, and every Pokémon I've traded has dropped below 67% to the people I've traded with. But as I'm viewing this as exchanging Stardust for Candies (and a small chance at a Lucky Pokémon), this isn't bugging me in any way, shape or form.
(Seriously, 100 Stardust for 3 more candies? That's well worth it.)
"Every Pokémon I've traded for has dropped to below 50% IV, and every Pokémon I've traded has dropped below 67% to the people I've traded with."
That doesn't match my observations. I've made probably 200 trades, and I estimate that about 15 coming back to me were 82% or higher (Wonders for Mystic). So I think somewhere around 5-10% of my trades end up 82%+ in my experience, with maybe 3% lucky (not all lucky are wonders).
If it's weather boosted (level 31-35) and low IV, I tend to assign it a name that means I should trade it for the same from someone else. If it's <82% after the trade it can easily be thrown away. But there is always a chance for a friend to get that 98% level 33 Rhydon instead of the 40% Rhydon I was about to throw away.
In the lucky era I've traded exactly 1000 times (lucky rate 8 or 9% so far), they do go up both when they turn lucky and sometimes regularly. About half of that has been trash/non-meta/lower level than I've previously caught.
However, I've only gotten two luckies at 96% and none overall have ended up higher than 96%. I'm swapping for fun and one example: it is getting me to gradually power up a lucky Jynx (hah) above level 30--even though 13a/15/14. Without the discount I'd really hesitate on it (never do it), even if it was 15/15/14
I'm at 25 trades, with 20 of them being with Ultra-Friends. 0 Lucky's, every one I've received has dropped below 50%, and every one has dropped below 67% when the other person received them. I might have traded more, but I warn people that I'm only trading for Candies, and for them not to expect to get a good Pokémon out of the trade so more than a few have traded with other people - which is a huge reason that I warn people. If they've had your experience, and they trade a few with me and they all suck, that's no fun.
Maybe it will change with Best Friends. We'll see. But for now, I'm trading 75 Stardust for 6 Candies, and I'm quite happy to make that trade.
