Trading levels

Anyone know how Pokémon levels change when they're traded? I know if you trade with someone who's a significantly lower level than you the Pokémon you trade drops in level, but does it drop to their specific level? Does it drop to 5 levels above their level? Does the weather matter? I can't find much information about this anywhere online...

Specific example: I am level 33 and my brother is only at level 27. If I trade him a lvl 32 Pokémon I've caught will it stay there? Or will it drop to level 27? Or if I trade someone my same level a weather-boosted lvl 35 will it stay there or drop to level 33?
