1 or 2 day Community Days?

With the upcoming Eevee CD spread over Saturday & Sunday, going forward, would we like to see all CD's like this or are you happy with just a single 3 hour window? There are benefits to both, personally I'd like a 2 day window as I work Saturdays but would there be enough interest if it was a mon we were less than enthusiastic about? The 2 day CD in my opinion would allow most trainers to participate & the hard core would probably hit both days anyway. Alternatively they could extend the 3 hour window. I hate being excluded from these events as do many others.

I'm sure the amount of money they rake in across both days will decide if they continue this trend. I've never had issues missing a community day but I would like it immensely if they continued spreading it over two days. I've seen a lot of people complain about them flip-flopping the days (Saturday working better than Sunday for some and vice versa), having it on both days would mitigate this.

I also hope giving until the following Monday to evolve for the special CD move stays as well. It's frustrating trying to decide what's worth evolving and what isn't within the last 15 minutes or so.

2 days, but cancel the effects of CD if the account was used during the first day. That way everyone has two time slots to choose from.

Why do you want to limit it to just one? The difference between a player who plays both days and a player who plays one isn't that great that you need to prevent hardcores from grinding out both days.

clearly I was trying to help the people who feel bummed out that they could not make it due to work or other commitments. well, make it 30 days then. just make every single day of the month a community day.

Making events last too long kind of defeats the point of it being an event. Making events last too little (like the previous 3h community days) makes people miss out. There's a sweetspot somewhere in between.

I don't think people being bummed up about missing one of two event days is anything anyone needs to worry about, only the most hardcore players would feel think anything except "too bad" if they can only attend one day.

we are all entitled to our opinion. my opinion was make it 2 days (3 hours each day) but you can only use 1 of those days. I think 3 hours is the sweet spot. you do not agree. that is fine.

If they do go back to 1 day they should at least let the evolution for the special move last until midnight that night, that way even if someone was working and didn't get to go catching, they could still have time to evolve some mons they already had for the exclusive move

Not to mention removing the stress of the last 15-30 minutes deciding if you want to keep catching or stop to evolve stuff. For both Charmander and Bulbasaur days I had ones I intended to evolve and completely forgot about because I was too busy trying to sort what was good and what wasn't. I'd rather spend the full 3 hours catching and the rest of the evening deciding what to keep.

that's a user problem. if you made it 9 hours long there would still be people who mess up the last 10 minutes because they were trying to catch everything possible. yes, it would work out better if they made it 3 hours to catch and 3 hours to decide. the only concern is that even more people would be confused. people tend not to read the announcements so they get easily confused on what time everything happens.

I realize this is not helpful, but I hate the community day and feel it is totally unfair to a lot of players. I haven't gotten any of the special moves that can be only gotten during these events because I am not available at that time on the weekends.

I would prefer if they made it a 24-hour event on one day so at least nearly everybody could participate at some point. I get that the focus is on kids and not adults who may have to work, but it still seems totally unfair to me.

I think this is a better argument for keeping the move window open until the following day. For most community days it isn't terribly hard to get at least one of the featured Pokemon before hand, so even if you miss the catching spree you can still get whatever exclusive move is available.

I'll tell you Monday.

Right now? I love the idea. Larvitar day, for instance, was almost a complete bust for me because my wife and I made the mistake of deciding to go somewhere new, going at the last minute, and not being properly prepared for the location and situation, so we lost a full hour of playing because we had to find parking (it was a public park with limited parking), we had to find the Pokestops (about 1/3 of what we were used to playing with on Community Day) and no washrooms nearby (and when you've got a 7yr old daughter in tow, you need to know where the washrooms are).

So I've got a personal reason to like it, but until I've gone through it over the two days, I won't know what I really think of it. As you can see, my like for this is based on being able to make up for my own mistakes, so...

There is no downside to having a 2 day CD (lol?). The only "theoretical" downside would be if you cannot attend both days and you dont want other people getting twice the pokemon (If I dont get it then no one should get it).
At the time PoGO has no competitiveness so this shouldnt be a problem.

I think this model going forward would be perfect. Everyone will want to hit one or both of the event windows so I assume total player activity will be greater than with just one 3h window.
Letting us evolve after the 3h window lets us concentrate on playing, which will mean more items used->more boxes bought->more revenue. I assume until now many people have skipped using their grind items for the last 30 minutes because a lot of that will be wasted on appraising and evolving instead of catching.

I mean, I'll do both of this one for Stardust, but in general I think 1 is enough. I'd probably play both every time, but I'd enjoy one more.

What sets Community Day and similar events like Zapdos Day apart from other events is the extreme time localization. Other events last months, weeks, or days; you can do them at your leisure. But with Community Day, you have to do it now or never. Everything that extends this time makes Community Day less special.
