Gold Pilot in few trades?

So far I haven't made a single trade. Partly because I don't want to spend dust, but also because I don't really need to trade anything.

Therefore both my "Gentleman" and "Pilot" badge are at zero.

So I was thinking, what if I tried to get the Pilot badge to gold in as few trades as possible.
This of course means I have to either meet people from far, far away or get eggs from them.
I like to set certain goals for myself, so this could perhaps be an interesting thing to do.

But I've got a few questions that needs answers first.

1. Is there a distance limit? I seem to recall reading something about there being a limit to how many km that gets added after a trade. If so, what is the limit?

2. What is the easiest/best way to find the optimal distance for me to get eggs/trades from?

3. Any other ideas on how to potentially do this endevour?

1- Half the Earth's perimeter (20000 km)

2- Find a place as close to your city's antipode and make friends with a pogo player there. Exchange gifts, hatch the eggs and trade the antipode pokemon for a local pokemon.

3- That's about it!

More easy to find a person on internet on the other side of the world: trade each other a crap account filled with 200 pokemons:

Trade crap account passwords and trade 200 pokemons in a day

True, that'd be faster. But not as accesible for people who only own one phone. It also requires to find people to exchange the accounts.

20000 km is the max theoretical distance, but in practice is very difficult. Most likely your antipode it's in the middle of the ocean. 18000 km is my longest distance.

Not that hard to find. Just ask Gamepress forum. I’ve traded myself heracross and tauros through crap accounts via gamepress.

I added like 5 people on this site, with a few of them in Europe. I just open their gifts when I have an empty egg slot. I then trade that pokemon to another account, gets me about 7000km per trade.

Gifts from Australia will probably double that distance.

Answers to 2 and 3.

Find an Aussie and get them to send you gifts...hatch and trade the eggs ;-)

(unless you are an Aussie...then find gift senders on the 'Trainer Code List' and make them happy with your long distance gifts)
