My community day in Japan review

So after being changed *twice*, Japan finally got its community day today (Sat, Aug 4).
This CD was originally postponed from a Sunday due to weather.

So what happened (from what I gather) is that we got 6 hours of CD Squirtle AND Articuno all in one go.
Maybe some of you don't know this, but Saturday is will a work-like day for many people here. Japan's Sunday is more of Western Saturday. So we're already off to a bad start on the date.

Last-minute tweets (not any in-game notifications that would've helped based on language and location) informed us of this change two days prior. It lasted from 9am to 3pm, two-3hour Articuno raids.

Of course, I only have *an hour* lunch.
So what'd I do? Go to the first raid and start my long session there.
Essentially, I:
-Caught maybe 25 Squirtles
-managed to catch 1 shiny Squirtle
-Caught 4 Sunglasses Squirtles
-Evolved my two perfect, one shiny, and one Sunglasses Squirtles, to Blastoise.
-Raided Articuno 4 times (0 shinies)
-AND attended a Mewtwo raid nearby right in the middle.

That was my whole lunch. Niantic needs to be more familiar with their geography (especially Japan), get some sort of in-game calendar sudden going, organize these events are little more thoughtfully, fix these random Mewtwo raid invites, and update the gyms (cause the current system sucks hard).
And it was a mainly hot sunny day.
