Improvements for PoGo

Hi, it's me again. Last night, I have thought about how to improve pogo.
Here are my ideas.
Gyms: Bring back the old level 10 gyms to make it challenging, a legendary can be put into the gym by the trainer who first attacked the gym. The gym must have 10 unique species. You can berry pokes, but they do not increase its cp. GRBs only provide more chance to get candy and 100dust per grb. Bring Prestiging back!!!!!
Trading: Gifts contains random eggs, and that pokemon hatched will be tradable 2 times. Add a rare item the Name Tag in gifts, so people can attach their name tag onto a pokemon to do a 100km trade.
PvP: Have every single pokemon know four moves random. You can only pvp with trainers who are great friends with you, and100ms apart. You battle with six unique pokemon, the format like the main games. If you win you work towards a badge and get 10 Rc or 10000dust, if you lose you get 100 dust.
Thoughts?

Gyms: No! Prestiging suck hard. Now gyms are boring, but with some effort, all can get their coins. In Blissey towers, i cant get often single 10 coins for days. Now im lvl 40 and have heavy Mystic dominant area, so its easy for us to make 10-20 Blissey towers and earning coins. But it could absolutely block newer red and yellow players here. I remember that hard times i had on their lvls, and wont be an asshole for them.

Gifts: Yes for random eggs, but still Alolan should have highest chance to earn. Name tag is no needed imho. And double trade im against and simply Niantic wont make it like you wrote.

The thing about Prestiging is that it made 100s of pokemon useful.

I was more excited about hatching a prestiger like Tangela then I was about catching a dragonite. I used the Tangela more.

The thing that I believe makes you wrong, is you don't have to bring back 10 Towers AND blissey towers. Simply put the old tower back with rule 1 max of a species.

PMG made 2 big changes at once. They never tried just the 1 big change. They changed 10 prestige to 6 decay + 1 limit rule.
The 2nd would have been enough

Here's my thoughts.

On gyms: I don't think they'll ever bring the old system back, as the barrier to entry was too high for lower level players. Motivation decay helps with this, but if that remained in your proposed system with berries not restoring CP, gym defense would become even more of a joke than it already is. I think the gym system is stale and could use changes, but I don't think reverting back to the old towers would be a good idea. I actually do miss prestiging though!

Trading: As the previous poster mentioned, random eggs would be neat, but Alolan eggs should always have a higher chance since we can't get them anywhere else. I also don't see the purpose of the name tag thing.

PvP: giving each Mon four random moves sounds kinda terrible and invites a host of questions. Would this mean that all the TMs spent on Mons to get the moves we wanted on them were wasted? Legacy moves could be lost? Could we change the moves? TMs were introduced in order to eliminate bad moveset RNG (soooo many Dragonites with steel wing). Switching back to randomization seems like a step in the wrong direction.
Also if PvP comes with rewards, they will need to be carefully balanced and will likely be minimal/limited (example: you can only receive rewards from battling one specific trainer once per day). If you're suggesting that every win would grant 10 RC or 10k dust, people will purposely throw matches for their friends just to help them rake in easy dust/candy in copious amounts.

I can agree to most of your points. Especially the old gym system. Too bad Niantic does not want to provide a competitive game, but rather a casual noob meta where they behave like Opera to give anyone everything they want.

The game itself is designed far more for co-operative play, not competitive play.

That's not a bad thing.

IMO gyms were never competitive. They were exploitable, which is something else entirely.

The challenge: If you had enough free time and battery packs you could take down any blissey tower. You can do the same thing now in 10 minutes instead of 1 hour.
I find it even more challenging these days when someone decides to remote feed the blissey and becomes a determination struggle/contest.

Nobody seems to remember that the old gym system was inaccessible for casual players and boring for hardcore ones.
We're still missing a competitive side of the game because PoGo is cooperative based by design.

I would welcome training as a feature to improve your pokemon IVs, but I don't really see it coming..
