RIP Me and everyone in To

Everyone I saw at a raid was raging that they got a Snorlax. I would've been laughing, except that I got one too. Even worse, it's IVs we're 11/10/12, so I just transferred it. :P

Patience is a virtue. No reason to try it until you can confirm online that the new breakthrough is available.

This is not about patience. People have been waiting for up to 6 days, and would've easily waited a few more hours, if they'd known about it.

Most players have other things to deal with than pokemon - and reading about news in pokemon.

There's really no need for niantic to make it so complicated.

Niantic gives you the exact date and time (1st Aug 1 p.m. PDT). This information is available IN-GAME.
After the new breakthrough reward is live Niantic also push a notification to your phone.
What's so complicated about it? We just have to wait until it goes live...

Why the hell would you sit on your stamps or box for six days like that? You could have redeemed the Snorlax and still likely have been able to bag 5 Raikou this month.

Assuming you don't miss stamps in August, if you claimed your last Snorlax on the 28th you'd be able to squeeze in a 5th Raikou on 1st September before the breakthrough changes.

1pm PDT. Transform this to your local time.
But even knowing that, always confirm first that the event/new reward is live.

Weren't you off by a full day? Raikou is supposed to appear on August 1 at 1:00 p.m. PDT. But Pacific Daylight Time is seven hours behind GMT, while e.g. Japanese time is nine hours before GMT. By the time you wrote your posting here it was about 1:30 p.m. in Tokyo - but only 2:30 p.m. on July, 31st at the West Coast.

Ah ha ha ha ha!

I can't get enough of these! "I completed my research before the boss change and now I got the boss from last month!"

As others have stated above. You need to pay attention to what you're doing. Pat attention to what Niantic posts (they literally tell you when it changes to the exact time).

Your post here suggests you and "everyone else at a raid" just decided to complete their research tasks without paying attention to the time. Or flat-out not even being aware of it.

The good news? I guess you won't make the same mistake this month.

Rest in Peace to the melodrama!

If they still make this mistake even though this is the fourth time we get a new field research reward then I'm pretty sure they will fuck up again.

Seriously, the field research has been around since april and has changed Pokemon four times now, and as far as I know the time of change has been the same every time.
And we are told the exact time of change every time as well.

So if people still get it wrong, well then....fuck 'em.
