Something that bothers me about friendship system.

It's stated that, when you reach Great friends, Ultra friends and so on with someone, this has a stardust cost discount. However, I have an Ultra friend and everytime we trade some common pokemon the game keeps telling the cost it's still 100. Aren't supposed to be 8 stadust instead? I don't get it. Unless the game shows that amount but it takes that amount when the trade is done. Can someone help me with this?

The discount is only for special trades.

I think the discount might only apply to "special trades"

I see. I checked out many sites and they tell the discount is for all kinds of trades.

Yeah, me too - I tend to go by a graphic at this link:

https://pokemongohub.net/post/guide/friendship-level-bonuses-in-pokemon-go/

Which clearly states that Stardust cost for trading Regular Caught Pokémon go down as well...

...until you read down the page and see that there's ANOTHER graphic that says Regular Caught Pokémon (non-Regional/Non-Special) is ALWAYS 100 stardust.

Lots of sites out there need to update their graphics.

PokemonGoHub is infamous for misinformation and salt. It is not a trustworthy site at all.

IIRC, the initial data mining showed the base trading costs and the discount as a percentage for each friendship level. It was assumed that the friend discount applied to all trading costs, but it does not affect the 100 stardust cost for a normal trade.
