Lucky/Older pokemon question

So when it says older pokemon are move likely to be lucky when traded, how old, exactly, is "older" does it mean. That and does lucky pokemon have any guaranteed IV rerolls? Like will they be guaranteed to be better iv's or is it normal IV reroll for friend levels?

Im asking as the second oldest pokemon I have is a bagon (yes, I got stupid freaking lucky when I started) because I started febuary 19th, and dont know if they need to be older than a specific point to be eligible(namely as I want lucky gen 3 pokemon or gen iv evolutions) and we're all going to an EX raid tomorrow, so theres will be a lot of people to trade with

I would just wait while people test over the next couple of days. From what I have read, if both are from 2016 they will be lucky. If both are from early 2017, March or April, it's around 50%

No, I just traded a 2016 Golem for a 2016 Alakazam and we didn't get lucky ones. Even worse, 91% IV Golem got 20~ IV, a total waste of valuable elderly :)

No one knows yet the lucky probability but it seems that the iv floor is 10, like eggs and raids.

i've done 8 more early 2017s and no lucky. They might be flattening it out, too. But with Europe asleep, that would be pretty shady turning down the luck already.

I just got two more, then missed a 3rd try. Could be 3 with each player you trade with, this is my third account my 40 has been trading with. ***My initial trading got 3 real fast, then nothing. I see that 3 pattern after you told me to look for that 3 pattern

Thanks for the info, after about 10 days of trading 1 year+ stuff that would leave me with no aged stuff.

They've been doing so much to get newer players, no way they would freeze them out that bad...nobody would want to trade anything with them***just traded a raid Donphan for a raid Alola Exeggutor and they turned lucky.

I traded a pokemon hatched 5 hours before the trade and it became lucky for the person who received it.
The trade was an experiment, one pokemon from 2016 for one obtained on the day. Both became lucky with decent stats.

Then traded alolan for alolan (2 weeks old) and both became lucky.
Magikarp from 2017 for magikarp 1 month old. Both ended up lucky.

Few more trades unsuccessful, with different aged, fresh new pokemon.

The last experiment was an exchange of zapdos from research task (couple months old) for thunder shock zapdos (week old). None became lucky. Will repeat this tomorrow and see what happens.

Yeah I traded Articuno from first run for a Raikou level 30 after midnite in USA, ruined both bad--lost 200 cp on Raikou---more trading: I got a lucky bagon, shuppet, and eevee. You can just trade treecko, mudkip, eevee back and forth whether new or old, some of them will be lucky.
