Which Dragon?

With gen IV on the horizon, that gives us another dragon pseudo legendary, Garchomp.

In comparison to Dragonite and Salamence, which of the three would reign supreme? Going with the assumption garchomp will have dragon tail and draco meteor (it could very likely get dragon claw, outrage or even possibly yet to be added dragon rush, but just for this purpose, im wondering draco meteor in a 'worst case' scenario for moves)

Being dragon/ground, it resists rock and isnt hit neutrally by electric like the other two (and rayquaza) are from the likes of Tyranitar and Voltswitch defenders like dragon pulse ampharos, givng garchomp one less weakness, and retaining the other three (fairy, double to ice and of course dragon) but that would put it at a disadvantage against grass and water types, being hit neutrally by the all too common frenzy plant venasaur and Eggtree, as well as gyrados/vaporeon/kyogre/milotic.

Dragonite and salamence are some what of 2 variations on the same idea, flying dragon type, one focusing more on raw damage output and sacrificing defense, or being bulkier for less DPS , thats not to say salamence is glassy or dragonite cant put out damage, but they trade small amounts of one for the other when compared to eachother

Depends on moves. Salamence has the hidhest attack, and Dragonite has slightly higher attack but Garchomp will be bulkier. They are all double weak to ice however. Garchomp should be a great generalist, but a lot of people already have a maxed Dragonite which does pretty good already.

That is true, but all Dragonite fall prey to Rock types, which garchomp has the advantage over, with Smack down tyranitar, as well as Rhyperior and Rampardos in the running for rock type moves, Dragonite's going to get very threatened, and that may be what makes garchomp better for match ups

A part of me really hopes garchomp gets iron head, it probably wont be good on offense for GO, but on defense it could hurt a lot
