Jolteon solo report

Today I soloed a Jolteon raid, here are my thoughts. First, hats off to anyone who can accomplish this in neutral weather, even with my strong team I don't believe it is possible. I waited for a sunny day, and finished with only 10 seconds on the clock.

My main problem is I didn't want to convert both my Groudons to Earthquake. I only converted one of them. The second Groudon was in the fourth slot but was not needed. Solar Beam is boosted in sunny weather, so a MS/SB Groudon should still be quite strong. I might try this a second time in sunny weather with 2 Groudons and a Rhydon.

My team:
Groudon MS/EQ Level 37 (100%)
Rhydon MS/EQ Level 37 (91%)
Rhydon MS/EQ Level 35 (100%)

Rhydons probably wouldn't cut it in neutral weather, only 3 Groudons powered up to at least Level 35.

I've never been able to do it in neutral weather but in Sunny I can do it with a lvl 31 and lvl 26 Groudon and 4 Flareons

I find Jolteon quite fun yesterday I was able to do in non weather boost all unique 6 with 7 seconds left
1. Salamance DT/DM somehow was able to fire of 3 DM
2. Groudon MS/EQ
3. Rayquaza DT/O
4 Dragonite DT/O
5. Mewtwo C/SB
6. Rhydon not used

Party cloudy weather against Thunder shock/ discharge- using Salamance first was key for extra DM, all level40 except Mew2 level 36

Salamance first is an interesting idea. I haven't had a chance to try Jolteon in neutral weather yet, but I will definitely try that out.

I've done it twice with the same team, all level 40 but Groudon first. Salamence first is an interesting idea for sure.

Still a pain in the behind, first time it took me 8 tries to get the pacing right for optimal DPS.

I can do it with 3 Groudons and 3 Rhydons in sunny weather but in cloudy weather I had to use 6 Grudons, 3 level 30 and 3 level 25. All with ms/e. Jolteon had thunderbolt tho. I think I’ve only ever encountered thunderbolt

I loke him because he’s the only challenging level 3 now

In clear weather, a high level Moltres is nearly as fast as Rhydon, though it will obviously faint sooner. Moveset on Jolteon makes a big difference as well. Thunder is easier than Thunderbolt and Discharge. I was able to do a Thunder Jolteon in clear weather with 21 seconds left. I used Groudon and Rhydon (both 100% level 40) and mopped up with Moltres (level 37, didn't even get an overheat off before I won). I feel like winning itself is an accomplishment in any weather. Congratulations!

I seem to get discharge all the time. My Groudon is level 37 and I use 3 other level 25 double ground Groudons. Sunny and no dodging, always 15-20 seconds left. In windy weather use big dragons, don't try to split the team bt dragons and ground

I haven't tried yet, but I don't like my chances, as I don't have Groudon...

I've never attempted for fear of failure, but from what I gather Rhydons simply don't cut it in neutral weather despite the type advantage. You pretty much have to go full legendary/pseudo to win without weather boost.

Congratualations!

I have three Groudon and one Rayquaza at lvl 40. Usually I manage 3 out of 4 in neutral weather and a little fewer in rainy weather.

Never with a great margin though, so I have to have the stars align in the right way.

Funny thing is that I struggle most with those with Thunder. It seems that the damage from thunder do not generate as much energy as the others, so I get off fewer earthquakes during the fight.

Well done gibell. Was thinking of maxing my L35 100% Groudon and invest in a team like yours (2nd Groudon MS/SoB 82%). Now after reading the replies as well, I don't feel it worth the resources, just to solo a watered down 2nd hand L3 raid boss.

I dont have power p groudon yet.
Looking for clear weather to try again. 1st try just almost.
Change my setup a little bit, hopefully it is enough. If not, well still fun doing it, better than another tier 3 solo that become easy overtime, or straight impossible like shuckle.
