What gen IV evolutions to Prep for?

I've gotten most of the pokemon that got evolutions in gen IV, many with good iv's and am wondering which one would be the best to prioritize

>Roselia, got a max iv one, but 400 candy
>Murkrow, same story as Roselia
>Swinub, got many good iv ones from hatches/catches, but am predicting raid boss return, plus have 300ish candy
>Togepi, have 2 really strong ones, current buddy, but not much candy for them (just broke 100 yesterday with the hatch of the second good one)
>Magmar/Electabuzz/Magnaton, have decentish IV ones of them, and very little candy
>Ralts, have 2 or 3 good ones, but gardevoir's better than gallade
>Eevee, we're anticipating the event's going to give us these evolutions and no definitive way of getting the ones I want en mass

Those are all the pre-evolutions of the ones I have a feeling will be good, which ones should I prioritize? I focus raids, gym defense/offense isnt important as my team (instinct) is the dominant one n the area

I'm not sure what you mean by prioritize. We don't know yet how good their evolutions will be exactly so making decisions on stardust investments is extremely unwise.

If you mean which one to walk in preparation, go with the rarest ones, Togepi or Ralts.

I would probably pinap all of them if you don't feel like you have enough candy. Pinapping Roselias, Murkrows and Swinubs is frustrating though, something to keep in mind with low catch rate mons.

YEah, most of the time I fond those they're weather boosted too so thats hard to get, but eh, i've got the ultras

Rofl, of course. Esacaping from ball like a hell. Even with Curved Great shot with ultraballs they still can jump few times in a row...

I'm actually most looking forward to Tangrowth. It's very well rounded, stats similar to Celebi, and doesn't have any double weaknesses.

Tangrowth's attack isn't great but it could learn extremely good movesets to help with that. Looking forward to it as well.

Yeah, might be better as a defender. I am just hoping one of the grass types is good because I'm really lacking in that area.

Really? Missing Bulbasaur CD would be an explanation for not having a FP Venusaur but what about Exeggutor (both forms)? You've been posting here for quite a while so you're no beginner and you surely don't strike me as someone who would not see the value of the Alolan Exeggutor event to bring a grass team which would be decent at least. So what do you feel you're missing?

Or is it just that you feel grass types are not as well served as other types?

As it stands, the only reason to pull out a grass type over electric or water is if whatever you're fighting is doubly weak to grass. Water handles rock and ground types better while electric handles water types better. Or of course you have a shortage of the top water or electric fighters.

Either way I'm sure he meant that it would be nice to see a grass type to compete with the top dogs of the other two types. Roserade looks like a neat glass option and Tangrowth may be able to close that gap if it gets the right moves. Sky Shaymin will kick the dick out of most anything across all 3 types, exceptions being the top 2 legendaries of each. Being mythical odds are we'll only get one of them though.

I don't think there's necessarily anything that you can do better with Gen 4 final evos that you can't already do with Gen 1-3 Pokemon

HOWEVER, I want high level versions of all them to help build out 6 unique Pokemon teams for every type.....like adding Magmortar to my fire team or Tangrowth to my grass team, etc

Mamoswine? It will do to Articuno what Smack Down Tyranitar did to Golem. You can’t match it performance in Gen 1-3. Plus Gen VI evos won’t require the rare candy Legandarys do, with similiar or better performance. Gen VI will be a big upgrade for a lot of players.

You're right, I guess it all depends on what movesets Niantic blesses the new guys with. They could give him the Icy Wind/Bulldoze/Stone Edge treatment

There's a ton of potential in the gen 4 cross evos, some of them have amazing stats. Like Electivire could be on par with Raikou in DPS despite not being a legendary.

If Electivire gets thunder shock and wild charge, it will out-dps Raikou by a small amount, since Electivire has a slightly higher attack stat. That said, Raikou has much better bulk, so it's very likely to remain a better attacker compared to Electivire.

True but when faced with two attackers bur one doesnt take RC to power up, that one will win out

If it gets the right moves it would likely be on par with Raikou, having slightly higher attack and notably less - but still favorable - bulk. Think similar to the relationship Raikou and Zapdos have, but with the added benefit of not being a rare candy sink. Electivire needs Thundershock and Wild Charge for this to happen though.
