My fiance and now have the best friend bonus in less than an hour last night from battling in gyms together while using a lucky egg. It seemed that we gained a day each Pokemon we defeated together. Did any one else experience this?

We both got the bronze Idol badge and even traded a shiny to each other that the other didn't have registered in pokedex for 40,000 stardust.

Good friends pay about 1 million for that

I’ve traded with my own accounts a couple of shinies and non-registered; 20k at good friends and 16k at great friends.

I think I did but only 100k not 200k as I thought the lucky egg would. We traded a swablu and magikarp. 40k is the correct discount is it not? Here is the medal too

I'm curious whether it happened before or after friendship bug fix.
Do you remember at what exact time you have battled?

This all happened on 7/2/18 between 8-9pm est.

I took a screenshot when it happened and if you zoom in pretty far you can see it is at 9pm.

Were you on different time zones? I heard this was an exploit that required both players' local times (on their phone) to be registering different days.

No we were both in the same vehicle taking over local gyms on our iphones. The date and times are never edited or off of real time.

There was some bug that allowed to do it after the bug fix yesterday. I haven't heard of anyone managing that today though, I think they patched it quickly.

We thought it was strange so we just kept playing until our lucky egg ran out and hit the best friends marker.

I think this is a good omen and you should definitely go through with the marriage. Generally speaking, its good to be friends with your spouse. Though they can be pains at times.

Just as an update to the post, our friendship level was reverted back to the appropriate level. We managed to sneak in a shiny trade max discount though. I still have the idol medal too.
