Whats your egg hatching method

I agree 7km are useless - although I keep accidentally getting them.

There's actually a guide on this site that's pretty good, and you agree with it pretty well.

Focus on 5km, while building up 2km and 10km. Burn through the 2km when you get a hatching eggs task (like 5 for a Chansey) or when you have too many of them (only ever need 4, as you'll finish your current egg + 4 for the task). Try to save up 10km eggs to do them all at once with a star piece + lucky egg active for a big boost - or for a double candy on hatch event.

I hatched 1000 in the first 12 months, but 540 in the 2nd 12 months since I drastically stopped buying incubators and started using infinite whether 2k, 5k, or 10k.

I doubt it gets worse than this though...I'm great friends with the 20 people on my list, so I won't quickly open gifts after this:::::

I don't have an Alolan Vulpix or the gold pilot medal yet, so I try to get Alolan eggs with maximum distance whenever I have a free slot. Other than that, basically the same, save 2ks and 10ks.

Pretty much the same. I try to gather a full lineup of 10ks for the rare double candy/stardust event but they come by so scarcely nowadays that sometimes I just flush them all under a star piece to spice up my day. I can gather a full new set of 10ks in no more than a week but my greed for a GOOD alolan Vulpix has got me to make a lot of rookie malpractice actions that disrupt the natural flow of my usual game style and now my eggventory tracking is such a mess that I often forget to put a new egg in the incubator after an egg has recently hatched and realize after a hour or so later, having wasted many, many kilometers.

I see a good opportunity for the 7k eggs - when they hatch, they get the location they came from. Which gives you a tradable pokemon from far away, so more miles, more candy, etc.

This ties in with trading bad IV pokemon for a hoped IV bump and candy. I trade my Alolan rattata for a junky larvitar (everyone should have those after the CD), person who gives up the larvitar gets 3 larvitar candy, and maybe the larvitar gets near top IVs. Then they trade their Alolan Muk from far away for my junky larvitar, etc. Win-win.
