Gym Candy rate?

I've been wondering this for a while, but does anyone know what the exact (or even approximate) rate of getting candy from feeding berries to pokemon at gyms is? Theres some days I feed berries to pokemon and get three candy from different ones, and then theres days that I get nothing, this just "R"NG, or something else?

I fed my Blissey (in person) yesterday and got Chansey candies on 2 consecutive berry throws within 2 seconds of each other. 1 out of 10,000 chance that happens

No one knows exactly. Silphroad says it’s around 1%.

It seems like a very low percentage. I am curious if the rate is different for remote feeding.

I wish the berries had more of an effect on the candy rate or motivation restore, like razz was normal motivation restor normal candy, ninab was more motivation but lower candy chance, pinab was the opposite, and golden razz has no chance at candy for maxing motivation.

just something that would make the mechanic more interesting, but eh

the rate is ~1/85 and it's completely random.

Though a solid piece of research it dates back to mid-Februar.

We are several people having a clear impression that they have tweaked the candy reward upwards a bit the past few months.

Not a lot, but enough that you now regularly see one or even two candies when feeding a full gym.

A nice tweak, before I never ever cared about those candies since they were so rare. Now I normally concentrate on the best candy targets when not feeding the whole gym full.
