I added my trainer code to my GamePress profile yesterday and have had ~50 people friend request me. I accepted because... why not?

But what am I supposed to do with all of you? I'll send gifts because I like doing so but who are you? Where are you from? Will we ever meet to actually trade anything? How do we communicate?

EDIT: There's not even any medals for number of gifts or gifting distance so.... ???????

Trade your hatched Alola forms with your local friends, you will both get huge distance on that medal and if your friends trade you low-IV larvitar or other good mons it is win-win: they will get 3 candy in return and you *may* get a decent PKM with the IV re-roll.

Ohhhh the 7k eggs keep their original pokestop location?.... that makes a lot more sense.

I hadn't noticed because up til now all the eggs I got were from local friends.

You're welcome! I've now hatched a dozen or so international PKM, and it is fun to see the locations from all over the world! Good luck managing your inventory and timing, it sure changes the game....

The main reason for international friendship is trading the pokemon you hatch from your friends' gifts. They keep the original location, so the further your friends the more progress for the pilot medal.

Yes, exactly. However I have found myself overwhelmed with friends requests. I want to exchange eggs with far away areas, however many trainers have not indicated their location on the buddy and googling their gyms/pokestops is not always informative and never convenient :)

I plan to review friend list after a week to remove some people who will not have figure out the courtesy of geo-tagging and keep myself with less than 100 friends,

Unless NIANTIC implements features as naming/sorting/marking friends in the list.
