Fastest Exp Grinding Strat?
Im trying to get higher into the levels so I can start soloing t3's, i'm currently level 33.
I know some people use lucky eggs for mass evolving pokemon like weedle, and also doing multiple raids in one use of a lucky egg, but are there any other ones?
Answers
i know that doesnt exist, but machamp is hardly a pokemon note worthy for being a generalist
can it match mewtwo, lugia, ho-oh, rayqyaza, not at all
can it match tyranitar, golem, aggron, blissey, yes.
My point is machamp doesnt have use against the high profile /LEGENDARIES/
that is what cuts into its usefulness
yeah, there is a pokemon that can, its called tyranitar, as in the only reason machamp is useful in raids
MAchamp is cabable of dealing with dialga's bulk and its attack? no, no it cant, itslike trying to fight blissey, yeah it can take it down but its a slow, painfully long journey that has it get knocked out, a lot.
B/C Tyranitar is an optimal/good counter to Mewtwo and Lugia. Completely useless against Ho-Oh and Rayquaza.
SD/SE Tyranitar is an optimal/good counter to Ho-Oh, Lugia and mediocre counter to Rayquaza. Completely useless against Mewtwo.
SD is legacy so you can't TM back to it. The same Tyranitar can not be used to counter all 4 legendaries you listed.
So if it's a painfully long journey with Machamp, how do you propose it'll go with something that deals less DPS? I'm honestly interested.
I don't recall anyone here recommending you to attack into everything with Machamp. Every time people tell you to get more Machamps (rightly so because it's the best gym attacker), you start talking about how it's glassy (which isn't true) or how it doesn't work against things it's NVE against (which is true for every single pokemon so completely irrelevant). So no, you don't take advice.
It's an optimal counter to the best gym defenders and the current legendary. You need more than 1. Get over that fact.
When in this have i said anything about gym attacking being relevant? i haven't because it isnt relevant, gyms can be taken with almost any pokemon, so a 'best' gym attacker doesnt mean anything. and machamp is fragile, try taking on a blissey with dazzling gleam, see how many it can take, not more than 3, that is fragile, meanwhile tyranitar can take a lot more
Raids are literally al i have been talking about, the point about gyms is just people shoehorning in machamp uses when i have explicitly said gyms arent a factor, you are a perfect example of this, the entire discussion has been /RAID/ uses, and while it matches the regi's, what is the point of the regi's? aside from gigas, nothing, they are all garbage
There's this other thing called getting good and learning to work with your device.
I genuinely don't know why you still come here for help. It's the same discussion every time, there's always some excuse or reason why the stats and numbers don't jive with your preferences. We're literally shoving graphs and charts in your face and you still argue against it. You want to solo 3 star raids? Your options are Aerodactyl or Machamp right now. Between them, Machamp has much more use than Aerodactyl. You may not like it but that's how it is.
Broder get a Heracross army. Once you have that, just tell everyone "I use Heracross cuz of lag sry", they wont be able to tell you anything about Machamp ever again.
Machamp does better but I still prefer Heracross when the defenders have full motivation (Blissey, Snorlax or Chansey). The two bar Dynamich Punch works much better on demotivated pokemons though. Like, really much better.
You show your inexperience by talking about Blissey in gyms. You didn't even play back when gyms had 10 Blisseys in them. Blissey is unquestionably the only real defender and Machamp is unquestionably the best counter to her by a mile. If your Machamp struggles against Blissey, you clearly dont know what you are doing.
"try taking on a blissey with dazzling gleam"
I have. I fight maxed DG Blisseys almost daily, I have quite a bit of experience on the matter. If you don't fail dodges, 1 Machamp takes out 1 Blissey.
"machamp is fragile"
Machamp is not fragile, it has average bulk. Any pokemon with normal bulk goes down fast if it's being hit with SE damage.
"meanwhile tyranitar can take a lot more"
A perfect Tyranitar has 34 hp left after taking 3 DGs from a perfect Blissey. It can't tank a fourth and may die to fast move damage before the 4th even comes out.
"what is the point of the regi's?"
Raid rewards. More DPS->more damage balls>more rewards.
XP, too. Which is the question the title asks. Also, fight in gyms to earn coins to buy raid passes/lucky eggs to get more XP. Gets you gold gyms, which gives you more balls (balls help with xp and healing items to raid/fight better). Plus there is extra xp for every time you spin a gold gym (esp if your color controls)
Mega Aero will need a massive move overhaul to be useful, since Aero currently only gets Ancient Power as a rock type attack. While it would have higher DPS than Mega Tyranitar (assuming ideal moves, Smack Down and Rock Slide), Mega Ttar is only a point behind and is way less glassy. You know, your whole reason for dismissing Machamp? You can't have it both ways dude.
For all your talk of future proofing I'm surprised you haven't even brought up the most valid point of Conkeldurr outclassing Machamp (assuming it gets Counter/Dynamic Punch). Even that is probably two years out, minimum. Why wait that long?
How do you manage to create this exact mess on all of your threads every time you ask a question?
Anyways... you want to know the best ways to grind for EXP. Well, your best chances are raids done during X2 EXP events under a lucky egg. If you wanna get frisky, you can use a second phone to mass evolve while you're at it for maximum lucky egg efficiency. Never done it myself but I know a guy who did it several times until he reached 40 and his account is still functional. If no raids are available you can mass evolve with two phone simultaneously and double the EXP gained from a single egg. Both ideas are exploits but not explicitly against the TOS.
Other than that you are out of luck, that's the best you can do.
The hilarious thing is his question was answered well before the thread went to shit, it's like there was an active effort to completely derail it.
Also how does your thing work? You have the same account loaded on 2 phones, raiding with one while mass evolving on the other? That sounds like an insane amount of exp gain, and I guess both phones GPS's are within close enough proximity to not fall under the banhammer. Maybe I'll give it a crack if I get tired of being level 37 forever.
You talk about trying to solo T3, and then talk about the usefullness of pretty much the legendaries in raid instead
I am not talking about machamp as the super duper pokemon, i am talking about how to learn on soloing T3 by experience.
If you dont like machamp, just use your Machamp reward in raid for gym and transfer it to the profesor afterward
Have you tried solo T3, duo T4, 3-5 man legendaries ? Sometimes it is better to just do it than talk about it.
Well just dont bother with soloing T3 and buld your team step by step for that, just raid with many trainers for rewards and legendaries that you think will be usefull in the future..
I hope you get many legendaries and candy to make your legendaries squad.
