Personally I'm really disappointed about this feature... I hoped it would be a good news, and I had some mons ready just for this, like special editions... I hoped to have the possibility to finally have the local mons in exchange with others... What is the sense of doing in only if you're near the other trainer?

At least it could be done with friends of the top level...

The biggest disappointment is with the friends system:
Too complicated and takes too much time.

Or at least instead of the trainers code, it would be better to have the possibility to add directly the person... Like friending those you see in gyms for exemple...

I would hate to get a hundred friend requests from randos just because I had a guy and a gym. The trainer code makes it so you don't get spammed by people unless you choose to

3 months is nothing. The game has been out for 2 years. It's good to have new goals to work towards...

I admit I haven't used trading yet but I don't see where the disappointment would stem from. I feel like a lot of people were expecting to get any legendary they might have missed for free and now feel blindsided by an extreme stardust cost.

Same, though I was talking more about the 1 million for unregistered legendaries/shinies. With IV reroll I don't see why someone wouldn't wait until 90 days to trade those anyway. I've seen the Reddit picture of a shiny Lugia with 1/1/1 IVs and can't imagine how much that would hurt after spending massive dust to get it.

I m disappointed because i saved a lot of good iv mons just to trade strangers as a gift. I just wanted to make some random people happy. Now with the iv rerolling for worse i m sad.

For me it's not that interesting other than the fact that I have gotten to over 1/8th towards the trading distance gold badge with only 8 trades (at 135k/1mil, yay holiday on the other side of the world). I had saved a lot of high IV 'mons to trade away as I don't really need them, but it seems they won't be traded away any time soon, if at all, because of the heavy IV reroll.
