Friendship level not increasing

I been having issue since day 1, About half of my friends friendship level is not increasing.

Note that sending a gift only counts after the gift is opened.

I got 3 or 4 friends who friendship level still stuck to 1 heart. and its been like 4 days now

U have to interact with them (raids, trade or open gifts)
Just having them doesnt count. ;-)

There is an actual glitch. Two of my friends and I have exchanged (and opened) gifts every day since gifting started and our friendship level has not gone up beyond god friends when I check on my account.
