Lost weather??

My girlfriend and I had a Tyranitar raid across the street and it was cloudy weather, so we decided to try to duo it.

It seems like the weather changed while we were waiting in the lobby, because in the battle we didn't seem to benefit from weather boost at all. After the raid, there was no indicator in the game for either of us, and even now long after (we tried a second time and failed again, restarted app a few times) we still both don't get any weather in the game??

Would have beaten the raid easily with the proper weather boost (both times he was almost dead) and yet it seems the game removed weather entirely for both of us... any idea how to fix?
