Alolan forms- which are good?

For now, we have in game 6 alolan evolution lines. It is easy to say that Raticate and Persian are useless, and Exeggutor is super useful. But what do you think about Sandslash, Ninetales and Muk?

Can one of you two explain to me how Alolan ninetales is useful, but alolan sandslash is not?

Sandslash has better stats and it's best moveset is identical to the best ninetales moveset
Ninetales has an additional dragon resistance and access to a two bar charge move.

Meanwhile both rank well behind Jynx, Articuno, Regice, Walrein, Piloswine, and Cloyster as Ice attackers.

With a double resistance to dragon, Alolan Ninetales gains effective bulk. As a coarse way of evaluating, if you use this to double A-Ninetales HP, then it has higher attack, defense, and stamina than Lapras. Regice is terrible. Jynx is just a different attacker (low bulk, high attack)

So it's usefulness is to save a potion or two?

Simulation vs Rayquaza no weather boost (though it doesn't matter since they are all ice).

The biggest pain will be Alolan Marowak which is such a beast but will suck on PoGo

I did a lot of battling with Muk. He had good bulk as a generalist gym attacker and poison isn't resisted by much. The plus side to Alolan Muk is his added resistance to psychic, which is a type often found on Blissey and Snorlax, giving him added bulk. He can certainly be used as a gym attacker, for fun, but there are a dozen pokemon that are still better generalists.
