As those in Europe know, Mr. Mime is almost a nuisance species, and I have a slew of them. I will be heading to the states soon and several very casual Pokemon acquaintances are eager to trade for them (as well as for some Corsolas).
I would let go of them for trash mons, but because of the stardust cost - which I realize will go down as the friendship level increases - necessitates getting something in return. My question is what does everything think would be "fair" in this situation? I am really not looking to take advantage of people, but I can't spend 20K dust just to be a nice guy to people I don't know very well. At the same time, when I come up with the things I would value at 20K dust, I feel like they're pretty significant.
Any thoughts/ideas are appreciated.
Remember that they'll get 3 candy for the trade as well.
Assuming it doesn't affect the cost, I'd be thrilled to trade a mediocre level 20 kyogre for a Mr. Mime + 3 kyogre candies! Not sure if you think that's worth receiving though.
I wouldn't want to trade a shadow claw gengar. I'd be more than willing to trade a weak legacy like my Twister Gyarados. Probably not interested in trading any of my body slam Snorlax though.
The problem I foresee with this, is he'll be able to catch the local regional himself while he's here. Even if he doesn't find one, he'll only need to trade for one, while it sounds like he's bringing many more mr mime and corsola.
Perhaps if some of the locals have other regionals (e.g. in a Tauros area but have a heracross) that's an easy trade. Again though, he only needs it once.
After that, as he mentioned, he's just being nice, but there's a stardust cost he needs to consider.
