Evolve perfect Machop or wait for possible CD?
Caught a perfect Machop recently. Already have a perfect Machamp and a few 96-98s. Thinking if I should evolve it now, or wait in case there is a Machamp community day. What do you guys think the odds of a Machamp community day are? Really regret evolving my perfect Bulbasaur half a year ago and not being able to get a perfect frenzy plant Venusaur.

I could see a CD giving Machamp a really strong 1 bar move, imagine a faster version of Focus Blast doing 150 or 160 points. That's purely from a game theory standpoint. I don't know what moves Machamp had or didn't have in the original games.
Or possibly something doing 120, but that fires off almost instantly, which would be really vicious for PvP or defending.
Close combat is a joke of a move. That's where Machamp could get better.
I had a perfect machamp, and it doesnt seem like they would ever give it a CD, its established that CD worthy pokemon are things like pseudo legendaries, starters; machamp, despite popular opinion, nothing more than a regular pokemon (as in not a notable pokemon for any reason like the anime/other media)
that and what would they give it? what could they give it to make it worthy of a Cd, tyranitar had one bespite bing a top tier mon because its 1 a pseudo legendary, and 2, it was a dark type, but had no rock fast move, machamp has no secondary type, unless they give it another fast attack, or give it back legacy moves which really arent that much better, if at all, then its current set
I've got 2 Perfect Machamps. Thought about waiting on the second one for a Community Day, but the pattern so far has been "Starter" "10km/3 Evolution Egg", and Machamp does not fill either of those criteria, so I don't expect a Machop Community Day and I evolved the second Perfect.
Now I've got 2 Perfect Counter/Dynamic Punch Machamps at level 40 and I'm still bitching about things. C'est la vie.
As most people said already, a Machop CD is highly unlikely. I also recommend to evolve it and max it now that its useful.
But firth think about your situation: how many Machamps do you use? Do you need another one? If you dont need a new one cuz u already have 6+ high level and >91%IV Machamps, then you can always keep this Machop as a trophy, waiting for a CD that may or may not happen.
tl;dr: if you need it now, evolve it.
