What would be a good mix of tyranitors in current meta?

I got 9 tyranitors and all are level 30 or above (except one).
3 B C
3 SD SE
2 B SE
1 B C (L20 to be powered up/93%)

What would be the good mix?

Currently neither one is that important, it all depends on what raid bosses we get after the event or further into the future. If you have some decently high level Golems, they will be better than the B/SE Tyranitars, so I would CTM those to have Crunch.

EDIT: B/SE Tyranitar is worse as a dark type attacker than B/C Tyranitar and worse as a rock attacker than double rock Golem. There is no reason not to change it provided you can spare the CTMs.

Three level 30 Tyranitars with Bi/Cr and three level 30 Tyranitars with SD/SE looks like a good balance. Also depends on how many decent Absols, Houndooms and Golems you have (not to mention Rhydons for when Rhyperior is released).

I would priorotive Bite crunch, as its the set that made tyranitar what it is, and there wont be rock weak raid bosses until gen V (unless they do rotom's alternate forms for raids in gen IV)

Its Dark set is the better one at the moment, as jynx alazakam and gengar are likely going to return following the end of the water festival and those will be great grind fodder for TM's, GRB and rare candies.

However, if you live in an area that is partially cloudy ALOT (like where i live) it my be worth it to power up one smack down tyranitar for the high damage with wether boost, even if its a neutral hit

Honestly can you stop with this nonsense that Rotom's alternate forms are the only possible SD Tyranitar target until gen 5? Non-legendary raid bosses get reruns all the time and gen 4 has plenty of pokemon weak to rock in additon to other types. Even legendaries are starting to get reruns lately and the gen 1 birds have a giant glowing neon sign of a target painted on their foreheads that reads "hit this with SD Tyranitar if you see it in a raid".

By the way rock tyranitar is a better Jynx counter than dark Tyranitar.

This is a factual statement, there are not a lot of high profile rock weak raid pokemon in the near future, the birds were just research breakthroughs, why would they go to recycleing them into the raid rotation? bIf they do return, it would be a good use for tyranitar, but even then, it still looses to golem against Zapdos due to resistance and better moves.

yes, gen IV does have a lot of rock weak pokemon, but how many of them are raid boss candidates? do you honestly think they will add froslass or chatot or staraptor to the list?
The list of rock weak gen IV pokemon, leaving out rotom are:
Chimchar
staraptor line
chatot
magmortar, honchkrow, froslass, togekiss, and likely glaceon (who cant be a raid bosses due to special evolution requirements)
burmy line
yanmega
drifloon line
combee line
chatot
skorupi
abomasnow line
Sky form shaymin

Now, how many of those seem like raid bosses?
Or more importantly, raid bosses *worth* going for?

baring shaymin, (who tyranitar is weak to and has a double ice weakness) theres really only adomasnow, who has a double fire weakness and is also super effective against tyranitar.

I say there is no use for a rock tyranitar until gen V or Rotom's alts because that is the truth, assuming that rayquaza does come back, there is still a double ice weakness and provided its released before the return, alolan golem's double flying resistance.

And while rock tyranitar may be better against jynx or lugia, what if it faints before being able to use stone edge? crunch doesn't suffer that, as well as what about alakazam? Gengar? Mewtwo? can a rock tyranitar deal with those?
And in cases like against walrein and houndoom, there are better counters or limiting factors for tyranitar, as tyranitar's weakness to water and kyogre being much tanker and having higher CP against houndoom or machamp having higher DPS without a 1 bar
Rock tyranitar isnt useless, its use is just very delayed.

Sold, but there's much more to the game than just raids, and judging by the way you phrase your opinions, I can tell you don't battle in gyms that much and you don't have a lot of battling options or local player challenges to begin with.

No, I do gyms a lot, and even there, Tyranitar's rock moves are useful for the fying types like dragonite and gyarados, but evn then, theres better countner for the double weaknesses

Raids are a lot more important than gyms because raids are definite, gyms arent

What I see are guesses, opinions, estimations. Not truth. You or I simply lack the necessary information to state that "it's 100% impossible for SD Tyranitar to be useful before Gen 5" or "it's 100% likely that SD Tyranitar will be useful before Gen 5". We can guess, but we don't know until it happens. I can (and have) listed possible rerun raid bosses and my estimation that they might get rerun is exactly as accurate as your estimation that they won't. Both are just guesses by a single person who doesn't work for Niantic.

"it still looses to golem against Zapdos due to resistance and better moves."
Loses in TDO, wins in DPS. Like I've said elsewhere, DPS>TDO for raiding, especially if that DPS comes from a mon as tanky as Tyranitar and the boss deals almost no damage with their fast moves (CB is garbage for defense).

"Or more importantly, raid bosses *worth* going for?
I'm not sure how this is relevant. If a mon gets to be tier 3, people will want to be able to solo it just for the rewards. As for whether any of them seem like raid bosses, that's not a decision you or I get to make. Who would have predicted Scyther or Porygon as tier 3? (Also why do you think Rotom would make a good raid boss if all these other mons wouldn't?)

"as well as what about alakazam? Gengar? Mewtwo?"
Did I say anything about them? If you read my post carefully, you might notice that I specifically only mentioned Jynx, because you were implying that rock Tyranitar wasn't useful against it, when it's in fact superior to dark Tyranitar against it.

Edited for clarity and better making my point.

What are your goals? Are you a solo player, or do you have a very small group? Only players that are trying to do duos and trios really need to worry about perfect teams.
