I just got the official announcement ingame that Smack Down will be the exclusive CD move for Tyranitar. But if I understand it the right way SD will be a charge move and not a quick move as many hoped for. It says “charge tm“ like in previous CD. So will a Bite/Smack Down Tyranitar still be better than a double rock Golem? Is it way superior to SE? Thanks

It doesn't say "charge TM." It just says "Put those TMs away"

Smack Down is in the game master as a fast move already. Maybe it was a translation error? The English message doesn't specify Charge TM.

I'd say don't trust translations. In french, the usual announcement was the equivalent of "charged attack TM". Now it says "attack TM". Yes. Their translators are not very good :D

We will know Saturday but it’s in the game as a quick move. As a charge move I wouldn’t bother. The rock attackers in gen 4 will put it to shame.

How would Rhyperior and Rampardos compare with SD/SE Tyranitar?

We don't know their movesets. Compared to Tyranitar, Rhyperior has 10 less base attack, Rampardos has 44 more. With similar movesets, Rampardos would be the DPS king by a significant margin. Rhyperior could become the DPS king if it gets a very good moveset and Rampardos gets shafted.

Confirmed as a quick move. In fact they talk about how it will make Ttar the rock king.

They probably just copy+pasted from the previous announcements, changed the move name, and for got to change charge to fast.
