Water event egg hatching bonuses

Edit: I have confirmed that the bonuses apply to non-event eggs, too.

From the official announcement of the water event:
“Plus, 2 km Eggs will hatch exciting Pokémon such as Totodile, Mudkip, and Corphish—earn Double Candy and Stardust for every Egg hatched!”

Sounds like it applies to every egg hatched during the event, right? Or only event eggs that I get during the event?
Just want to be sure before I put all my 10K eggs into incubators.

They pulled that crap on us last event incredibly bogus.

You might want to consider that what you quoted is the second half of a full statement. it is connected by a hyphen. Logic would dictate that only the eggs mentioned in the first half would apply to the second half unless otherwise stated.
