Yet Another Power Up Question...
Got a 98% Shiny Ho-Oh, non-weather boosted. I was thrilled - and still am - but now the obvious question...
Do I power this guy up?
And if I do, what the heck do I use it for?

I am on my way to side-maxing a second perfect Ho-oh but only because I have a lot of resources to spend. I only use mine when they are auto-selected and I am too lazy to change them. So, like said above, only do it if you have enough resources to do it and nothing else is a priority for you. It's not the best at anything but it's bulky enough to save you some resources under the right circumstances.
I have a soft spot for shiny Ho-Oh, so I would max the heck out of it. That said, you may want to consider the following before giving it any dust/rare candy.
1. Do you have a surplus of resources to spend on it and, if so, are there any other legendaries you've been waiting to power up that might take priority?
2. Do you already have a powered up Lugia that can be used as an anchor in Machamp raid solos (if that's a thing you'd do)?
I maxed out my 98% Ho-Oh the first time it came around because it was one piece I needed for my goal of making a unique top 12. I've used it on a handful of occasions, but with it's current move pool, it's really more of a novelty Mon than anything, with a few niche uses (it was amazing against solar beam Groudon, for instance). There just really isn't anything Ho-Oh can do that other Mons can't do better.
