Best Gen IV evolutions?

What gen IV evolution/(s) would most likely be the best ones, and as such, be the best to start prepping for?
i.e. start working on getting buddy candies for
Glaceon and leafeon wont be a problem, (have 800+ eevee candy, haven't evolved any, not worth giving up good eevee for raids that arent useful), nearly 300+ swinub murkrow and rhyhorn candy, and not worrying about Ralts because im bout 99% sure thats one of the future Community days.
the real ones im wondering about are between these
PorygonZ, Gliscor, electavire, Magmortar, Roserade, Magnazone, Weavile, and Togekiss.

Based on guides, Electivire is likely to become the best non-legendary Electric-type. With its many resistances, Magnezone may be a great defender (its best counter is a legendary). Togekiss could be an even better Fairy attacker than Gardevoir.

I think Togekiss would be a very good defender with its double resistant to fighting. Magnezone may not be a great defender with its weakness to fighting, but could be a great attacker with its many resistances.

I'd go with walking for Togekiss. Other than finding the rare wild Togetic, the only way to get candies is from hatching Togepi. If you get the right nest, you can stock up candies for some of the others. Togekiss might be a really useful Fairy type if it gets a good moveset.

Thats what I am thinking, though I have no idea when gen IV's coming out, so i dont know when the best time to set ti to being a buddy would be. Im walking a scyther now to at least get a steel type, then switching to bagon. though if they send the Regi's out after the lati's, then thats a red flag its coming.

It's also possible to catch wild Togetics but they're so rare that I'm walking a Togepi.

Seems likely. The candy is very rare at the moment and there's going to be massive demand for it if Togekiss is important in the meta. Even if not, 100 (presumably) candy just to evolve is a lot to collect for more casual players when the primary ways are walking or hatching from 2ks, which don't give a lot of candy. So they can probably make a bunch of money off of a Togetic raid boss.

Porygon Z: High attack stat, but lacking either STAB or SE means it'll never be the best specialist at anything. May make a good generalist for partly cloudy weather, but I wouldn't hold my breath for meta viability here.

Gliscor: With 185 base attack, it's completely irrelevant to the meta.

Electiwire: Beastly for a nonlegendary, surpasses Raikou in DPS if given the same moveset.

Magmortar: Not quite as good but strict upgrade to Flareon.

Roserade: Moveset makes or breaks it. Glassy, but that high attack stat could make it a good DPS mon.

Tangrowth: Not sure why you didn't mention this bulky grass mon, but it has the potential for very good movesets (VW/PW) and with tremendous tankiness could become a very powerful TDO attacker, even if its DPS won't reach FP Venusaur's level.

Magnezone: Good stats, stupid amount of resistances. There's good potential here but it's unclear what its role would be. Double weakness kind of invalidates it as a defender.

Weavile: Glassy but very high attack stat. Very similar to Honchkrow. If every other ice mon gets a bad moveset, Weavile becomes the DPS king.

Togekiss: Incoming defense monster right here. Double resistance to fighting and dragon, single resistance to dark, high bulk, Togekiss is going to be the go-to mon to stick between Blissey and Chansey if there aren't any major changes to the gym meta before gen 4. Also potential to learn a fairy fast move which could make it a nice attacker for certain situations.

EDIT: GP also has an article on the topic which lists Mamoswine, Rhyperior and Electivire as the cross-gen evolutions with the most potential.

Also for sure save two super good Eevees. We don't know yet how good Leafeon or Glaceon will be but both actually have potential, it all depends overall.

Considering that they're cheap, easy options, there's no reason to not do this.
