Odds of Shiny from Quest?

Hi all,
does anyone have an idea if the shiny odds from QUESTS are more like in raids ( ~ 1/20) or like wild encounter (~ 1/200...1/500)
I really would like to know for the aerodactyl shiny hunt :)

Anecdotal evidence from my discord group is that aerodactyl rate seems higher than wild encounters. Too many ppl found a shiny within the first 10 quests/raids to attribute it to luck. I don't think it's true for other quest shinies.

I would say the same. Loads of people getting it during the first 10 sure looks like the shiny rate has been turned up for Aerodactyl encounters.

My first Aerodactyl solo gave me a shiny. Standing next to me was a man and his daughter, who took three phones to win, but did not get any shiny.

right now are people seeing aerodactyls in the wild, or are they only quest/raid boss for this event. I have not encountered a wild one during this event yet.
my guess if they are not in the wild, and only quest/raid boss then the shiny knob will have been turned up.
