Which Latios?

Hey trainers! :)

I have to choose between 2 Latios and I would like some advice to choose one.

1. 2071 A14 D14 S14
2. 2064 A15 D15 S12

I always go with Attack 15 but I read that Attack 14 is almost the same. What do you think? Thanks a lot!

Not a lot in it to be honest. But I'd go for the 15/15/12

I always like higher CP and like even numbers. That 2071 is the one I would go with. You won’t notice the difference in 1 atk

Ikr, it's having that extra point and reach 15.... I'm thinking of keeping both lol. Thanks

There are people here who would choose a 15/10/10 over anything with a 14 attack or lower regardless of other stats. It all boils down to breakpoints and if there are any relevant possible match ups where that one extra attack would make a difference. For Latios, I have been unable to find any for a level 40 that a 14 attack could not also reach. The only two scenarios are with Dragon Claw against a T5 Latias or a L40 Dragonite. But for the fast move where breakpoints matter more, I can’t find any.

In your situation, I would personally opt for the higher stamina, which is Latios’ weakest stat.

All that said, my best one is 14/15/15, and I’m choosing it over a 93% just because it has a 15 attack. That is, unless someone could point out a breakpoint or bulkpoint I’m obviously missing.

2nd. Just because there's a breakpoint for attack and defense, and that 1 point will makes all the difference. I doubt 2 points in HP will result in 5+ more HP at max lvl (which is only 1 fast move difference between surviving or dying). But when you get a breakpoint for atk or defense, it will translate to more than 1 fast move difference in 1 course of battle.
Maybe we don't have any breakpoints which makes 14 or 15 atk/def different right now, but it might in future.

Double check the IV and CP on the first one. 2071 CP should be a 14A/14D/15S.

As far as which one to power up, Dragon Breath is a low damage fast move, Zen headbutt is not so much. If you are powering up a double dragon latios, then hitting an additional breakpoint will make a huge difference on your damage output from your fast move, and I would power up the 15A. If you are opting for a double psychic latios, 15A is less likely to hit an additional breakpoint, and even if it does, it won't be as big an increase as with dragon breath, so in this case I would go for the one with a better IV overall.

Hope this helps.
