Hitmonchan Solo
I want to start by commending Niantic for the new event. Not because I need any fighting pokes, I have my fighting squad. But because the new Tier 3 raids are awesome!
- Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee are two of the most fun and challenging solos to date. It's not a Claydol or Jolteon situation where anyone with high enough Kyogres/Groudons could do it (or in appropriate weather). These guys have awesome defending movesets with such variety that it makes them unpredictable and hard, requiring strategic dodging.
- Breloom on the other hand makes it super fun being able to use Pokémon that are usually best at Professor Oak's lab, like Skarmory, Altaria, Swellow, Pidgeot, Xatu, etc. It will be super fun making ridiculous teams work for a tier 3 raid, even with Pokes like Dodrio or Golbat.
With that said, let me just show off my Hitmonchan solo with Bullet Punch+Fire Punch.
5 attempts, 2 TMs spent and a lot of adrenaline. It was cloudy weather so it made my L29 Gardevoir viable and really the beast that took this home (3 seconds left).
I did around 2 strategical dodges: 1 with my Gardevoir to get an extra Dazzling Gleam off (4 in total) and 1 so that my weakest Psycho Cut Alakazam could fire off 2 Future Sights.
All in all, super fun. Well recommended :D

Alakazam L30
