Shiny raid bosses

What's the chance of getting a shiny raid boss like Absol\Snorunt\Mawile\Sableye? We've noticed when we raided Absol with 5-6 accounts, one of us got shiny. When we raided with 2-3 accounts, or when I raided tier 1-2 bosses solo, no one got shiny.

So, is my theory about 5-6 accounts for shiny correct?

I mostly raid solo and I've never gotten a shiny raid boss. If Machamp and Gengar had shinies I probably would have seen one by now since I've raided them exponentially more than others.

No, it's not. It's still random dumb luck, no matter the amount of raiders. Of course a higher number of raiders increases the overall chances of someone in the group getting a shiny

I've raided at least 70 sableye and still no shiny. Also at least 50 snorunt, still no shiny, only 15 mawile so not surprised no shiny yet. I don't know how many magikarp, but i've caught 355 of them, still no shiny. I hope a nest will appear eventually.

Did you try to raid them with more accounts, 5+ I'd say?

Impossible to do since I only own one phone that can run the game. I did end up with another person at one sableye raid but I don't know if she got a shiny or not, I didn't talk to her, I was just on a bench minding my own business while raiding on public.

I've done 3 Absol and got one shiny. Dumb luck is real.

One of our local players got her first two Absols to be shiny. We had no idea until she saw someone else's phone and said "Cool, your Absol is white. How did you get that?"

Pure dumb luck. I think the usual quoted chance is 1% in general play. I've caught 466 Magikarp, and have 3 shines, so that's about on track, a bit below expected value.

On the other hand 2 of my first 16 Aron were shiny. Now up to 140 Aron caught with three shines total. Randomness.

Sounds made up. First of all, you can see the color of the abssol while walking towards the Raid. Secondly, you can see the color of absol after entering the raid in full bloom. Third, you can see the color of absol while doing the raid.

In this day and age of internet, its easy to look up why the red color and blue and white color don't match. The fact that you added that last part, "Cool, your absol is white. How did you get that?", makes your lie unbelieveable. Had you left that part out then I would have believed you. Now I don't.

It's random. Done Mawile/Absol raids with huge groups, not one was shiny in any of the raids. I know people who have solo'd their shiny Mawile, Sableye and duo'd their Absol. Took them roughly 80 raids per.
