Do you think Latios deserves dust and candies?

Rayquaza, Salamence and Dragonite are just better because of the DPS/ TDO, still Latios has very good DPS on his own, just lower than those 3, and the way better dodging ability, I mean, if you have a good ivs Rayquaza, would you prefer invest on it than Latios? (assuming you already have one maxed Rayquaza).

Pd: Latias is underwhelming in every aspect šŸ˜

Not for me, I have 2 DB/DC Dragonites that I don't use outside of clearing low motivation gyms (and for that I rarely use them, as most gyms contain the fat normal types).

I powered mine up to 32. I went with a double flying Rayquaza and don't have a Salamence yet so he compliments my Dragonites pretty well

Latios is slightly better than Dragonite with DB/DC. Either way its still one of the best moveset for clearing out low motivation gyms. DT/O is overkill once the pokemon reach low CP

If I'd capture a good one, I'd stuff it with candy ... but only after my main attack team gets maxed. Currently caught a Latias, not too good but it's my first and I like the Lati twins. Waiting for Latios.

I’m going to max my best Latios as soon as the switch happens. I won’t have to use candies because I’ve raided a lot and have so far been pretty lucky with the catch rate. So for me, it’s just a matter of dust.

I’m looking forward to the DB/DC moveset, which I was never able to get on a Dragonite. And I always liked Latios from the main games.

I probably wouldn't use Rare Candies on my Latios, but I've got a 98% Latios that I'm powering up every time I catch another Latios. I might use a few Rare Candies on Latios if I still have Latios candies left when Latios leaves, and I want that last power up, but other than that, once Latios is gone, I'm done powering it up.

So Stardust: Yes, Rare Candies: No.

Def agree w this. If you are strapped on dust then only consider it if you dont have a DB/DC dragonite and want that moveset for gym clearing.

Just hoping to get to 130-150 candies so I can get it to lvl 35-36 or so.

Real account: probably not.
Fake account: maybe.
Real one gets things maxed, so Latios outperformed. Fake one takes things to 30-33, Latios can be a piece of whatever patchwork is already happening

I think it depends on your play style. If your goal is to solo or duo raids, don't invest. If you want a potion efficient gym sweep, go for it. DB/DC is my all time fave moveset for gym sweeping. No hard in taking it to at least level 30.

I think its viable to go either way (powering up or not) with Latios. It kind of depends on how good of one you catch and how many other dragon types you have powered up. I've been funneling all of my Latios candies onto the 13 HP 15 Att 15 Def Latios I have. I'm gonna use rare candies on MewTwo, Groudon, and Kyogre first, after that I'll decide. I'm level 40 but only a moderate raider. The only two legendary I've maxed out so far are Raikou and Rayquaza. Don't have far to go on MewTwo though.

I would say that using RC on a Latios isn't a good idea because Rayquaza is straight-up better no matter what IV. That said I am going to power up a Latios provided I catch one with good enough IVs, simply because I'd like it for clearing gyms. I run a Rayquaza in my gym team currently and I'd like to replace it with a mon that won't so frequently waste energy on overkills and has easier time dodging.

Since I have three double dragon Latios at level 25 decided to fight a half motivated gym with it today and I liked it, especially since lot of trash put in gyms here. More than I can say for Mew...that has never been used, plus it is 10 levels lower at the moment

That's slower than launching a DC would be and ends up wasting energy a decent amount of the time because those DTs generate more of it. But like I said, I don't think the Latios is a good investment, it's just personal preference that I want one. It's not the first and won't be the last time I make unoptimal decisions in this game.

I just used the candies I got from raiding Latios to power him up.
Imo worth the dust, not rare candies.
I have 7 different pokemons Id use rare candies over him, most notably Rayquaza.
