Machamp with C/CC

So I used some some of my Kanto event chop candy and evolved a 98iv C/CC Machamp. That is my 5th Machamp. I know he is not as good as C/DP Champ. Question, is he worse than C/DP Hariyama and better than C/FB Blaziken??

Yes he is! He is still better than blaziken. Blaziken is good but very frail! Don't consider using it over machamp and hariyama! Breeloom is better option!
If you are low on tm keep that move! Its 2 nd best move machamp can have currently!

Yes, C/DP Hariyama is better. Blaziken is not strictly better or worse than CCC Machamp. Blaziken will have a stronger attack but will be glassy compaired to CCC Machamp. The fire dual type may also come into play (for better or worse) depending on your opponent.

C/CC Machamp is much worse than C/DP Hariyama, and about equal to RS/DP Poliwrath. DP is so much better than CC that it is worth spending however many TM's you need to on a 98% Machamp in order to get DP.

C/CC Machamp is much better than RS/DP Poliwrath.

Tyranitar raid
C/CC Machamp 353.3s TTW
RS/DP Poliwrath 419.2s TTW

Poliwrath is honestly quite bad, partly because of its very low attack stat (182 base) and partly because RS sucks.

All of the above answers have some truth and some fiction. See the attached photo for Lv 30 pokemon ranked by time to win (TTW) for all movesets vs Tyranitar raid boss.

C/DP Machamp far and away the best
C/DP Hariyama, and Breloom second best
C/FB Blaziken slight edge over C/CC Machamp
RS/DP Poliwrath not even as good as C/CC Ursaring (which lacks STAB)

This answer has some truth and some fiction. Time to win is a very narrow measurement. Do you really want to argue that Ursaring, with a time to win of 451 seconds after dying 25 times is better than Poliwrath, with a time to win of 458 seconds after dying only 18 times?

And considering only 100% IV L30 pokemon is also a very narrow measurement, which doesn't take into account breakpoints, bulkpoints, etc.

And considering only Tyranitar is also a very narrow measurement, as the attacking pokemon we are talking about all have different weaknesses and resistances.

I will concede, however, that CC Machamp is almost always better than RS/DP Poliwrath, though not always by much.

This answer has some truth and some fiction. RS/DP Poliwrath is a great choice against TTAR than CC Machamp for Iron Tail and Fire Blast. But what is most important to accept is that Zapdos is the true ruler of Fire Island.

This answer has some truth and some fiction. Poliwrath is completely unable to contribue to duoing Tyranitar, while C/CC Machamp just about stays even with the clock in a duo. Poliwrath is a great potion-saver for IT/FB but bad for duos and risky for trios.

This answer has some truth and some fiction. Poliwrath is completely serviceable as an anchor in Machamp duos as a last slot option (especially with Fire Blast sets), even more so when it's cloudy weather where a bunch of fighting options become viable.

This answer has some truth and some fiction. Machamp will get Fire Blast in the community day after charmander, its not available for raids yet.

That's about what I was thinking. Continuing with the T-tar example, Breloom will do better vs. Stoneedge, Blaziken vs. Fireblast, and CCC MaChamp vs Crunch (because there's no way you are dodging every crunch). This analysis is based on the small group raid. In a larger group, you may want the higher DPS option anyway.
