Duoing Latios (Getting Ready)

So here's the thing: I'm getting ready for Latios (We're raiding Latias currently), I want to attempt duo him. I've watched some videos, guys used max level Rayquazas or Dragonites. The question is: is it necessary to max them out, or should I just get to the breakpoints? For example, Rayquaza requires only 37-37,5 level to hit for 14 points of dmg.

So, any suggestions? There's my list for the raid. Ofc, 1 Rayquaza isn't ready at all, and my Dragonite and Salamence passed the breakpoints for 13 dmg. I have to level up Rayquazas for now, but will 37,5 lvl be enough, or I must max them out?

P.S. I don't have my future partner's list, but let's assume that their mons are the same or even better.

P.P.S. I guess we have to assume that duoing will happen only on non-outrage Latios, cuz otherwise it'd be impossible. Am I right?

P.P.P.S. I was inspired by this video: https://youtu.be/b1Ys6gb_rbE

Your current team is not likely to make it. If it does it means your partner carries...

Solar Beam Latios should be what you look for.

Boss, how would this do?

IV, level and moveset are marked. The L33 Ray should be L36-37 by the time of the rotation.

I can also swap out one of the DC or DM dragonites with a 15/13/13 outrage one. Level 38 currently but easy to max out.

People have pulled it off with Dnites only as long as they are maxed. I think you are good to go (given your 2nd Ray will be powered to L37)

Yeah, I get it. I assume that I'll power up this team by the time Latios gets in...

Not enough. Here is my first team, I'd need 3 raiders.

2nd team for most part, Solar Beam has been boosted here.

Windy with that first Dragon party has a chance ZH/SB, not much of a chance though

With the assistants, the simulations became much more inaccurate.

With assistants it assumes you are battling with your battle party and 5 other raiders at random levels 30 to 40. I just look at the power of the battle party--20% in some cases for 150sec. If you have a dragon use them. When I see 6 Tyranitars it tells me psychic, fairies tell me dragon claw, dragons say solar beam---regardless I'll use my all-dragon battle party. However, diving in not going to get you 50-55% damage--I'd look for a 40-50 mil person if I was gonna try to duo

Not sure how much of a difference this will make for you, but remember that Latios carries Dragon Claw as a charged move in place of Outrage. Upside is that it hits for far less damage. Downside is that he can spam it ad nauseum and it's significantly harder to dodge than Outrage.

I'd say for an all-dragons duo Latios team, you'd fare best against Solar Beam. Dragon Claw tends to cut through fellow Dragons very quickly.

A decent number of players had the capacity to duo Rayquaza, but really really really impressive to duo Latios. A third player of any strength would make that almost impossible task worth multiple attempts--dragon claw very dicey with 3, but the next one you try won't have DC
