Not sure how I feel about that. On one hand, good for mega evolution. On the other... pointless if you need Charizard for what he is. Even worse if they somehow pull a Castform on Charizard and make mega evolutions different pokemon.

Just riffing on Niantic being dragon-obsessed lately. I'm sure he will get Blast Burn and be a beast after this event

That's Pokemon for you. Almost everything that matters is either dragon or psychic. Just look at all the legendaries so far.
