LPT: Three excellent throws in a row

This one has been a PITA. Couldn’t find any Wailmers this week. Other nice ones are Ponyta, Drowzee and Slowpoke. Just throw straight. So much easier. At last...

Edit: Best LPT: PoGo Plus, you can keep on catching everything just waiting for the right one to try the excellent on.

The other day I was able to complete it on the first try without a single broken streak because there were a Ponyta and Slowpoke nearby and I finished on a task encounter Jynx I had left waiting. For me the Kanto event has made it much easier to complete that task.

Personally I don't understand how anyone aims with straight throws, I do it nowadays sometimes to make it less likely a pokemon stays in the ball and sometimes I miss the mon entirely.

Man, I'm getting too old. Hopefully I'm not the only one who doesn't know what PITA and LPT mean. The former sounds like a Greece sandwich and the last one sounds familiar to a LMG Machine Gun.

Same here. These hip abbreviations are getting ridiculously specific and unnecesary

I keep an unclaimed Typhlosion for this quest. It is fairly easy to hit and with a regular ball it has the catch rate of a legendary. I already completed this task twice with the same Typhlosion and didn't catch it yet.

I got my 3 excellent in a row (did curves) on Bulbasaur, Bulbasaur (the same one) and Spheal. The usual 'easy' suspects like psyduck, staryu and even pidgey have all failed me.

What was the reward for completing this Herculean task? Was it worth the hassle?
