Last Saturday my raid group of 11 battled a boosted Confusion/Psychic Mewtwo, we finished with 178 seconds remaining. Nothing extraordinary about that group.

Yes, but Tyranitars are a must.

Dragonite, Salamence, Rayquaza, Latios, Moltres, Lugia, Gyarados to name a few counters with ok DPS that can live through a Focus Blast.

Tyranitar is still a top-tier counter against Focus Blast (If you're using 3-bar Bite, not Stone Edge). You just may have to burn a few more revives.

Against Focus Blast, consider investing into a Gardevoir/Lugia or a few Gengar, or a Rayquaza/Lati@s/dragon if you're short on those. Those that already have Mewtwos will be using those

Last EX raid my color had 8 players and we divided into 2 groups of 4. With good teams it goes down easily but I would go for a group size of 6-7 if unsure. More than that if everyone is fairly low level/doesn't have good counters.

Latios is my first legend. I don't have any other's. I can come up with a decent team

None of Mewtwo’s good counters are legendary, besides Mewtwo itself, and Rayquaza which isn’t necessary.

To easy and I have a great line up for him to. Houndooms come in 3rd for DPS against Mewtwo and since they are easy to find in the wild with weather boost i have 6 between lvl 32 -35 I was able to get +2 damage balls in a group of 12 with 0 stardust spent.

Yes, very easy to beat and pretty easy to catch. 4 or 5 decent trainers can beat it easily. Focus Blast is the only tricky moveset since most trainers don't have optimal counters for FB (Gengar, Scizor another Mewtwo with Shadowball) and since FB crushes Tyranitar and Hounddog with a single shot. Our M2 raids in Bangkok are large with usually 50-60+ trainers and almost everyone catches it. Good Luck! ... most of the catches recently have been low to medium IV but hey it is a Mewtwo!!!

Scizor is not an optimal counter to FB Mewtwo. It's a squishy mon that takes neutral from Focus Blast, which means it always gets OHKO'd. Gengar is only optimal if the fast move is PC. Rayquaza, Dragonite etc. high neutral DPS mons that resist fighting are more reliable options.

Gardevoir can be decent with Shadow Ball, but I feel like most people have Dazzling Gleam on their Gardevoir and not everyone has the luxury of having enough candies to power two of them.

OP doesn't have Lugia unfortunately, but DB/DC will be pretty good against non-Shadow Ball sets with the added bonus of dodge-ability and resisting Psychic-type moves, something that almost makes up for the lost in DPS from Dragonite/Salamence.
