Should Pokemon Go be used to introduce new Pokemon?
I was going through my storage and transferring useless Pokemon to make space when I came across Luvdisc. Then I thought, wouldn't it be cool if TPC used Pokemon Go to introduce the occasional brand new Pokemon or new evolution for existing Pokemon!
Now I'm kinda gung-ho about the idea and I do think the game's dedicated fanbase is worthy of something like that from TPC.
I'm not suggesting it should get a whole new generation, but maybe a couple new starters, it's own Legendary, and some new evolutions for some existing unloved Pokemon like poor Luvdisc.
Would you guys like this or would you consider it blasphemy? If you approve, what Pokemon would you nominate for a new evolution?

No to creating new species only for Pokemon Go.
I would be fine with:
1. Connecting two or three existing species into a new evolutionary line, if it makes sense and makes the game more fun.
2. Logically retyping a few existing species to balance and diversify the meta.
This would rank low on my list of improvements that can be made to the game.
As someone who only just started playing other Pokémon games (and mostly because my daughter got a pair of Pokémon card decks for Christmas that can be transferred to the tablet card game app), I really don't care either way. As far as I'm concerned, they're ALL new Pokémon.
It could be a good idea, though - to get a new Pokémon into the game that is new to everyone could bring old players back in or Pokémon players who never have played Pokémon Go. I can't see a downside to this; if players decide to quit because there's a new Pokémon for Pokémon Go that isn't anywhere else, well... they were just looking for a reason to quit.
Agree 100% It would be exciting to see some new shadows that nobody knows what the hell they are.
And I really do think Pokemon Go's userbase is large enough to warrant some original content. At the very, very least, Niantic should lobby TPC to design a unique legendary for this particular game.
I'm trying to imagine a scenario where a Pokemon Go player finds a brand new original Pokemon and gets mad and smashes his phone. As hilarious as that woulld be, I just don't see why.
