Rumors have it that this will focus on the shinies from Gen 1 while possibly also giving double candy in order to help people complete their Kanto pokedex.

Im hoping that the regionals are available worldwide for a week or two. Thats what would help me complete Kanto.

Which ones do you still need?

Kangashkan, Mew, Mewtwo, Tauros, Charizard

Khangaskan and Mr. Mime

From what they have translated, just more starters + pikachu, and Snorlax and Aerodactyl are raid bosses.

I'd like more shots at a good IV Aerodactyl. It was a pretty easy solo weather boosted.

Yeah, it's an easy one, I've got a hydro vap now so should be even easier to solo for me now.

I missed the chance to solo Aerodactyl and would love to take on it (despite already having a high-IV one). Two WF/HP Gyaradoses, a WG/HP Vaporeon, a TS/WC Raikou, a RT/SE Golem and...what should complete my team? According to Pokebattler, DT/OR Dragonite and RT/RB are not viable, especially against harder movesets. 102 Beldum candies and counting, but no wonder yet.

You will likely not even need the sixth mon with that team, but the DT/OR Dragonite is fine for the last spot with 174,5s TTW. The RT/RB Golem would also work because the Raikou and Garys get you so much ahead of the clock.

Would have loved to have seen Kanto regionals appearing as T3 raid bosses! Other than that, double candy!

How difficult would they be to solo?

Tauros should be cake. As a Normal type, we just need to bring our Machamps and Hariyamas. Khanga is normal too. Mr. mime could be interesting.

Mr. Mime could be a total nightmare because of its defence stat. Not the weakest either with access to Confusion / Shadow Ball, and 3000 HP... not sure I wanna solo that.

Mr. Mime only viable counter without weather boost is a legacy gengar. In cloudy weather H/SlB also become viable and muk and victreebel are borderline. Snow make metagross viable and scizor borderline. Definitely would be an interesting challenge. Harder than claydol.

Me too.. But i don't think they will appear in this event!! Niantic wants us too spend money and travel around!

Well only Tauros is missing for many Europeans, as we've had Kangaskhan for two days. So could happen for Americans

If only Niantic knew that other countries in Europe exist... But at least we got Farfetch'd.

I think it's great that they're holding a catchup event like this and honestly it's about time they gave the double candy to all those poor souls who have been clogging up their storage space with legendaries and other rares.

Personally the only things I care about in this event are increased Karp spawns and Aerodactyl coming back as a boss, glad I can take it easy with the grind and not feel bad about it.
