Catch CP of Raid Bosses-Mewtwo

So, i've done two mewtwo raids and got a 2228 and 2220 CP Mewtwo. Everytime I have a really solid and strong team. Then my friend that had really weak pokemon such as furret, managed to catch a 100% Mewtwo 2275 CP on their first one. So my question is, does the game give you better raid boss CPs if you have worse pokemon or is it just random?

I've never gotten a 100% Legendary. The Moltres from last week was 96%, my best ever. Start an account that says you're 7 years old. You'll be catching perfect Legendaries and shinies in no time!
(Kidding...sort of)

I was lucky enough to get a boosted one yesterday--have one maxed and three at level 30 already. Might take this new one to 30, not disappointed that this one came with FB--three shadowballs and two FB could be good

While the odds of encountering a perfect raid mon are 1 in 216, about 0.5%, the odds that someone in your raid party will see a perfect mon are much higher. If you have 20 people in one raid the chance that someone sees a perfect mon are about 9%. This can make it seem like everyone else is catching perfect mons except you!

Last week I was the one lucky enough to get a perfect wind buffed Latios after a raid. I wasn't lucky enough to catch it, although I threw all right, 4 of the 8 balls were great, one excellent, a nice, and two misses.

At least I learned that I can get perfect Legendaries, and next time perhaps I won't be as nervy and might do better, or will have a better optimized team and get more balls, or both.
