Ideal Mewtwo 3man team

Gonna try out a 3 man Mewtwo today, my team is the following one rn:
L38 15/14/15 S ShB Gengar
L40 15/15/15 B C Ttar
L40 15/15/14 B C Ttar
L40 14/11/13 P SB Mewtwo
L 40 15/15/15 DT O Rayquaza
L 34 13/14/14 DT O Dnite

I would probably not get a Shadow Ball version done with that team, but is it good enough to beat Mewtwo assuming my mates are gonna take down 2/3 of the Hp?
Gengar may die to quickly to Confusion, so Idk if it is actually viable. I could replace it with a L35 15/14-7 Dnite with Draco Meteor, but doesnt make much sense I guess.

Regardless of the moves be prepared with a second and third teams or fast revive your ttars.
Like you said, if it has confusion or SB gengar is not viable. SB will also KO your mewtwo in one shot.

Would say C and SB on mewtwo still makes gengar viable if you are looking for pure DPS. according to pokebattler gengar at lvl 38 survives long enough against both Confusion and Shadow ball to be efficient DPS options.

Rayquaza and dragonite are the weak links in the team. Scizor, H/SP-SB gengar,, pinsir, absol etc are all better DPS-options.

I only have a 12/11/10 L30 scizor of the species you mentioned ready at an acceptable level, so I assumed, the dragons are better options, especially with that resistance to focus blast.
