Saving Field Research Tasks

Is it possible to save field research tasks for another day in order to make extending a streak easier. For instance, let's say I complete 2 tasks on Thursday but only claim the reward for one of them, thus making my streak 1 day. Then on Friday I complete no tasks, but claim the rewards from the one remaining from Thursday. Does this extend my streak to 2 days? Basically I'm asking if the streak gets extended when you complete the task or claim the rewards.

Yes, you can.

I do it all the time. If I finish a task by catching while sitting at home, and it's late in the evening, I'll wait until just after midnight to claim the reward, to get the stamp for the next day (just in case something comes up tomorrow and I can't play at all). One could theoretically stack three completed tasks, and claim them over the next three days, so if you spend a long weekend in Antarctica, you could still get all of your stamps.

The above anwsers are correct, but i wanted to add that there is no such thing as a "streak". The things you collect are stamps. You can collect 2 stamps today and tomorrow, not play for a year and you still have those stamps. Next year play five more days and you will get your Moltres. Stamps do not disappear once received.

Did not know that. I was assuming it worked the same as with Pokestops and catches. My mistake.
