Granbull solo raid tips!

Any tips on which are the best NON legendary mons to take to raid? I dont have any good steel and poison types! I have other good level 30+ mons though! But he has so many resists its hard to select one!

He should be easily doable with neutral high DPS generalists, as his base DEF is very low, much lower than Machamp. But, he resisted most high DPS neutral generalists.

Best non-legendary counter, I would say double steel Scizor and Metagross. But most players won’t have more than 1, so the next best (and also super easy to obtain) is Flareon. Metagross doesnt actuallyhave that much higher DPS than Flareon, due to crap movesets, and weakness to the dark type moves that Granbull has.

Do a search for poison and steel in your Pokemon storage just to make sure. Failing that, check the weather and use your strongest weather boosted pokemon. His defense stat is pretty low so you should be able to cobble something together

Also try the search:
@poison,@steel

The @type will bring up pokemon with moves of that type.

And checking https://www.pokebattler.com/raids fire pokemon rank fairly well against Granbull, especially if it is sunny.

Don’t get hung up on the SE of poison.

I just brut force granbull.

2555 gengar SC-Shadow ball
2511 Gengar H-shadow ball
3750 Mewtwo C-shadow ball
2900 entei F-overheat
2700 aggron IT-Heavy slam

Could probably switch any Pokémon with a high neutral attacker.

Not an elegant solution but it works.

Even gengar with hex-shadow ball has a high enough DPS to be useful.

Example: 2432 gengar with H-shadow ball;
Time to win: 165s vs snarl-crunch and 164 vs bite-crunch. 170 if no dodging.

A 2500+ gengar with shadow ball will always beat the clock regardless of crunch.

Do you have any Bellsprouts lying around to evolve? Remember it does learn double poison movesets, it can do as a makeshift poison attacker if you are really short on attackers. High level Nidorans and Tentacools evolved are also excellent choices.

Pokebattler tells me to use 2 Golem, 2 Alakazam, Gengar and Raikou based on the powered up attackers that I use, and gives me a very high win chance unless the Granbull has Play Rough, doesn't look like I have a good team for that.

Just put him in his cage and put a blanket over it so he thinks it's night, wait til he falls asleep to throw a ball at him

Even a simple Lv25 weather boost Machamp with BP/HS has a time to win of 174. Totally viable if paired with anything with DPS higher than that. For instance a weather boosted Aggron with IT/HS or if you ever did a weather boosted Victreebel with A/SLB, or how bout a weather boosted Gengar HorSP/SLB?

You might have one of these laying around.

Did granbull with Crunch with this team;
Gengar Sc/Slb 2100
Gengar H/Slb 2200
Kyogre w/HP 3100
Golem rt/se 2550
Dragonite Sw/H 2500
Flareon FS/O 2350
2 sec left only dodged crunch with gengars

Sludge Bomb Venusaur is listed in the solo guide; but it doesn't even make the chart on the counters page.
