How many for Ho-Oh?

My understanding is he comes back tomorrow. I missed him the first time around. How many trainers does it take to take him down? My group had good luck taking Rayquaza with 4 and Lugia with 6. We all have Golems with the right move set at level 30-35.

As I recall it will be in between those two in difficulty. I'm bummed because I raided about 20 Lugia these last two weeks and go no shiny, the best one was a 91% with a 15 attack so I guess I'll have to live with that.

IIRC, the record for Ho-Oh was two players, before weather. Double weakness to rock. Golem, Tyranitar, Raikou, and Kyogre would be among the top counters now.

But I have heard people speculating that one or both of Lati@s will be next.

Not likely, pokebattler shows about 670 s for easiest movesets with boost and over 800 without. Unbelievable luck could cover tens of seconds, not 200.

Maybe I was thinking of Moltres? Meh.

...

Yeah, PokeBattler says 4 players minimum for Ho-Oh without weather, and 3 with partly cloudy boosting rock.

Moltres is 3 without weather, and 2 with partly cloudy.

Dunno. I thought there was some legend that everyone was scared of, that was then beaten by just two players. Maybe just totally misremembering.

4 should be enough. Maybe 5 against SB

Depends on your level and the strength of your raiders. For our group, we preferred 5, or 7 for Solar Beam.

And why is it that Solar Beam is so tough to raid against, but a Solar Beam Ho-Oh isn't that strong of an attacker? Seems like a disconnect there. Okay, I know that Solar Beam is a double effective counter to the most effective Ho-Oh counter, but still, one would think that winning a tough raid would give you a strong attacker.

SoB base power is just to high, even x2 resistant mons like a high powered Dragonite were almost killed with just one

At this point there's just rumours and really nothing that points to any particular Legendary returning. We don't even know if any at all is coming back.

But when Lugia was here the last time, wasn't it accompanied by Articuno? If so, wouldn't Articuno be a more logical choice as to which Legendary will return?

I thought I heard Ho-Oh but do not know. What I do KNOW is that when Lugia something will take its place. To many players and to much money for them not to put something else out there.

Ho-Oh is 3 man able. Best counter will probably be golem again with kyogre or raikou close behind. This was before weather boost so the numbers may change but not betting 2 man able as Ho-oh has a high def unlike ray.

The 8-bit icons of the Lati-twins are in the game so I wouldn't just assume Ho-Oh is coming back right away.
