Apparently there is a special research to evolve magikarp. If you don't live in a water biome this can be a serious road bump on the way to mew.

I saw that too. I'm good. Got like, 2000 candies. Can't find good ones to evolve. Hope I don't have to evolve a Swablu tho...
I get what you're saying about biome though. I can catch Wailmers and Magikarp all day but you're in bad shape if you don't have a water biome.

I'm ready for whatever these quests want to throw at us. I can evolve a gyarados, 3 wailord and about 6 altaria. Bring it on.

I evolved a few charmander I have been saving for a possible community day into charmeleon.
The only quest I think I'll have trouble with is the one involving spinning pokestops that I haven't spun before.

I'll probably be doing Magikarp raids more often than usual (which was often enough). I need a good karp to evolve to a gyarados. Currently I have 2 gyarados, one good, one lacks in attack, I can walk one for candy.
