Fingers crossed that this becomes the new normal.

I wouldn't mind this being normal if the ingame tracker for pokemon and raids weren't so extremely limited (and shit, I've stood next to a Blissey on a stop and the tracker only showed Pidgeys).

The game behind the game is fun to watch. New hash, let's see if you can crack this one...

Yeah, the last week I barely spent my free raidpasses. Before that I did a few a day.

Why? You're part of the same community as I am and nothing has changed. I even feel like players do more their best and we have more raids shared than previously.

That's something I've seen only for the last couple of days, especially from the Capelle group. There were a few days of drought where only a handfull shared the raids they could see from inside the game.
But you're right, things are going a bit better now, but still not as good as it was before.

There's about 6 regulars at my office, and we used to do regular circuits during lunch and after work. That's a fair number of passes consumed in a working week.

Since the update, pass purchase took a dip. Not as a boycott, but simply because cost/time/enjoyment ratio is not worth it. When you need to juggle family with a professional life, the reality is no one can be bothered with raids in their current state.

I know there are hundreds of thousands of city players that aren't affected by this but it really put the kibosh on raiding for rural players like me who just want to do a couple T3s everyday.

4 PoGo players in my office turned spoofers because no one wants to wander in the city congestion in the hopes of maybe finding a raid.

I guess I'm one of the few left who go for lunchtime walks. Thanks Niantic. Really well done. Is that really a win?

Is it a win that you are going for walks at lunch? Yep, that was kind of the goal.

I don't think you get it. Six people used to go for a walk. Now only one does.

Is that a win?

Last time hacking the API took weeks. Nobody should be surprised that new scanners haven't popped up yet. It might happen in the future, or it might not.

I really hope Niantic brings out their own map at some point. Would assume that they could derive it pretty easily from the Ingress Intel Map, with some additional coding to also make it function as a raid map.

I wonder how many people miss scanners ONLY because of raids
vs
How many people miss scanning Pokemon.

Upvote this if you miss Scanners because its reducing raids ONLY

Downvote this if you want pokemon scanners back

Don't vote if you don't want scanners at all. This is more a question to see if people would need to bother with scanners if PMG had a raid scanning tool inside it. It should be simple too if on your Gym Screen lke you have the Pickachu on upper left for having a poke mon at that gym put an colored (tier) egg on lower rght for an egg at the gym and some random Battle Symbol for a raid going on there.

I don't see Niantic winning if they don't soon give us raid maps themselves like the online ones (I really hope that!). The ingame "raid nearby" is awful. The Level 4 and 5 raids have dropped to about 25% of normal activity in my town after the raid maps went down, because we now have so short time to gather raid groups. Some of the most popular gym's raids in our town can only be discovered if someone goes there and if someone do, it's often too late for most to get there in time. Since most in our community are playing Go mainly because of the raids, it feels like just before G2 where almost nothing happened in Go. If we didn't have Research, good events nearly every week, Community Days and G4 to look forward to (hopefully this summer) our community would die very soon for sure. Our community was blossoming/doubling just before the raid maps went down - I fear now our community is slowly dying again. Niantic needs to act and fast.
