Just spent the afternoon in a Growlithe nest and evolved another Arcanine

And I got Bite/Bulldoze. FFS. USELESS! Has anyone ever actually won a battle with that moveset?

Oh well, while I was in Hyde Park, London, at least I caught a wild Snorlax (1250CP with Lick/Hyperbeam) while I was there.

Wierdly enough I dislike running into that Arcanine in a Gym.

I usually love seeing fire types in friendly gyms, they are very easy for my Omastar to power up against.

Then I run into SE bulldoze lol.

Not a stopper and very useless, but ironically it actually annoys me more than the other 2 when I run into it in a gym

Well this game sometimes can make you feel really frustrated, but I have learned to always look at something good of the day, and I really think catching a Snorlax is something really good ;).

My advice is forget that you have even evolved that growlithe and keep trying, remember the snorlax catch. I have found two dratinis today on two stops literally next to each other and made me very happy :D ( even when I have evolved my 6th victreebel without 2 grass moves...)

My first three Arcanines were all Bite/Bulldoze and I never found a real use for them.

Congratulations on the Snorlax, I've yet to see a hint of a wild one (Lv32)

Haha, regarding the Snorlax, it is CP1252 and above average IVs. It has Lick/Hyper Beam, which is great for attack.

The big Snorlax I have is 2300CP and I have spent a lot of stardust on it. However, it has Lick/Earthquake.

Usually I would just start powering up the lower one, but because of the CP difference I don't think it's worth it this time. I will keep both though.

At least it's a nest, so you have plenty more chances to make up for that useless one.

True, I had nothing to do this afternoon, so I hopped on the Tube to London, as I wanted to visit the Growlithe nest in Hyde Park and the Exeggute nest in Holland Park.

I got enough to make another evolution within 30 minutes of being in each park. High spawn rates in those nests. Well worth the visit if there's any locals reading ;)

I might go back Wednesday and just farm Growlithe. I already have FIRE FANG/FIRE BLAST, which is the best moveset, but with future evolutions I want BITE/FLAMETHROWER, so that's what I am trying for.

Hey @Clackers I'm going to London soon and will be very close to Hyde Park and the general area. What is the biome like in means of pokemon? How often do you see a Mr. Mime? Any other tips or trick while i'm there?

London is great for Pokémon, rares do spawn in places with high data usage, especially near South Bank along the Thames (also good for occasional Dratini spawns).

Holland Park in west London is known as a Mecca for Pokémon due to its small size and scenic beauty, along with dozens of Pokestops. I also caught a Lapras there in the summer!

Mr Mime, I don't catch anymore, but if you want it for your region locked pokedex then yeah it will spawn quite often, but you probably wont see more than 4-5 per day.

Thank you! I'm hopeful for a Lapras, I've never caught one!

I have 2 Growlithe with 22 candies. I'd be happy at this point with a bulldoze Arcanine. This critter would fall right into my pattern of evolving. I have the lick/earthquake snorlax, the bite/twister gyrados, razor leaf/mooonblast vileplume Rock smash/megahorn Rhydon and still only have a Dragonair.

Well, I use the arcanine against fire-type, and use the snorlax against Gengars.

Where i live growlithe, geodude, rhyhorn, machop spans like pidgey n ratata.
I have never got bulldoze in my arcanine army of 8, all with FF/FB and FF/FT.
