GamePress

Gamepress is unusable on android, because of malware ads

I keep getting some popup that says, "your phone is infected with four viruses" or "congratulations! you've won an prize from amazon." I'm pretty sure that if I followed the instructions from these popups my phone would be infected with, at least, four viruses. I know this isn't a question, but I am not sure how else to let you know about this.

I would blame adult sites more than gamepress.

Right. It has nothing to do with "adult sites", but is instead a common pop-up that Gamepress does need to remedy. Your phone is not infected, but you're right that if you follow those instructions it probably would be!
Instead, back out of those popups and go clear out your browsing history & cache and that should do for a while.

Yup been that way for months this is why this site is second compared to pokemon go hub. At least for android users.

I'm using it right now on a Samsung 7 and never have the popups issue.

Today I was bored in a vehicle traveling a decent portion of the country, the ads have lessened/maybe even ceased. They had been coming up pretty frequently past few days.

It’s pretty bad on iPhone too. I installed an ad-blocker and they only pop up about 1/3rd less. I hardly visit the site on my phone anymore since it’s nearly unusable.

I downloaded an incognito version of Firefox to solve this issue. Havent seen one yet on this browser, but it was obnoxious on Chrome.

Have this problem, too. I wish I could get the ad free app from the Google play store again...

Clearing my browsing history usually fixes it, at least for a while.

This.

I'm glad I am not the only one.

I wouldn't say I'm affected by this, atleast not enough to call it a problem.
Once in a while I get a popup ad, but then, I close the tab and it's done. It never really bothered me, those complaints (especially those that appear on the SilphRoad) really confuse me - and yes, I use Chrome on Android

Yeah, I've stopped using gamepress on either of my phones (Samsung and iPhone) due to this. It's very frustrating to say the least, especially when I need to remember what a tier 3 is vulnerable to.

On chrome browsers you can disable framebusting pop-ups by typing chrome://flags/#enable-framebusting-needs-sameorigin-or-usergesture into the address bar and hitting the drop-down to enable the feature. Doesn't always work for me on my Android phone, though.
